    Domingos Paciencia hired as the new Deportivo coach. His stock was high after doing well for Braga, but a subsequent short stint at Sporting (which is a ********in mess right now) may have hurt his stock a bit. Let's see if he can get them firing.

    Great hire for them, IMO. Leading that Sporting squad on that Europa run was no small feat. Plus he was fairing a lot better in the Primeira Liga than now.

    Well, Ricardo Sa Pinto was managing Sporting from January of this year, so I'd say he had a big hand in that run as well. DP just always seemed so depressing on the sidelines and the team improved a bit after he left with the passion of Sa Pinto. But that was a smokescreen. The club is a gigantic mess. Wish him well.

    Ahhh, that's right. Pinto took over before the knockout stages. Still, your right. The team is a mess and it didn't/doesn't matter who the coach is. My Eagles just made a mistake in same regard.
