I saw during the match. What was that all about? Is Shevley suggesting SAF influenced the ref?

I know SAF is infamous for that, but to be fair when I saw the challenge I thought he was getting sent off. The PK call seemed a little soft though.

Shelvey was out of control after the challenge, he had a go at Ferdinand and then that spat with SAF as he was walking off. I thought a yellow card would've sufficed but when you go in like that you leave yourself open to the "interpretation" of the official so I wasn't shocked by the red.

Never a red in my opinion. It was a 50/50 ball and both players went in for it so both players could have ended up getting the worse of that situation.

I don't know. It looked stupid and wreckless to me. Both players went in with little control, but Shelvey connected up near the knee - that probably did him in. Unfortunate, I was really hoping Liverpool would win yesterday.

I hope Liverpool get their ass in gear, it's really worrying. Rodgers must be fearing his job already i bet and i doubt he'll be given time to implement his 'strategy' or whatever he has in mind, not least due to the fact that he didn't get players he wanted. Oh and sorry but Borini is not worth the money spent, they really need to sort their transfer policy out, but at the end of the day so long as Sahin does well and comes back next season, ******** them.

I love seeing Liverpool fail. Its hilarious seeing them in the bottom 3 and there worse start to a season in over 100 years.

What also will be funny if Rogers is sacked and Rafa Benitez replaces him :D

Why? For the sake of sentiment?

I thought Brendan Rodgers was ridiculously overrated when they hired him and now he just looks lost, like it was too big of a step too soon for him. Add to that he is absolutely insufferable on that Being Liverpool show, I think he's a little too caught up in the cache of coaching a "Big" club and it's gone to his head on and off the pitch.

I bet Martinez is having a right old laugh at him though :D

    @mymy33...

I would have loved to see Roberto Martinez get that job. His role in building Swansea City seems to have gotten lost (and I think he's doing a fine job at Wigan as well). I have a certain affinity for Liverpool based on the English colleagues I worked with (almost all scousers!). I think it would have been nice for them to get a win given everything going on around the match.

Uh? Ya think? This interloper Rodgers' "success" is largely due to Martinez's template

Love it when Livercrap fail. Specially against United and its even better if United get a favorable call or 5.

Former Italian international Mauro Camoranesi has been fined £40,000 for a tackle made 18 years ago in which the fouled player (Roberto Pizzi), sustained injuries he never recovered from in an Argentine League game.

The judge said 'Although it is not possible to describe Camoranesi's action as deliberately intentional, it was incredibly clumsy, abnormal and avoidable.'

Based on the judges comments someone could get sued every week![/quote]

I heavily criticized the move this summer, but I have to admit that this is turning out to be a good deal for all parties. At this rate he'll be the perfect successor for Arbeloa in a year or two.

WTF? Sets a crazy precident as you mention. Camo though, one of my favorite players, miss seeing that guy week in and out.

edit: Mymy, gotta agree that Rodgers is insufferable on Being Liverpool. Dude seems ok, but is loving the cameras. Shelvey looks at him hella sideways when he tries joking around with him. Gotta say though, Stevie G and Carragher seem more likable than I ever thought they could be. Lucas seems cool too, and even that rabbit faced bastard comes off decently. Hot wife too. Good show, hope it continues on with other clubs in the future.
