Maybe because you're Spanish it does, but a player who performed in a handful of games does not warrant him winning a prestigious award that is given based on the performance of an entire season... you know the one where players play week in week out for the entire season.

So please enlighten me...how does Iniesta deserve it more than Ronaldo?

 

How did Pique, Etoo and Rooney get any points really? Falcao and Pirlo seem to be not popular enough, and while its ridiculous to say Messi didnt deserve it, I still feel Ronaldo shouldve won this one. Balon d'Or was a lot more respectable before being merged, but like many have already said its a popularity contest.
