Alright- its been asked for, so we'll give it a trial run with this thread. If the Mods think its pointless we will shut it down, so make it interesting, and here are the 'rules' as such: This is not World Rivalries, it's not a place to try to be the darkest, sickest most twisted guy. It's a friendly rivalry thread and if you can't be clever and at least a little jovial in the smacktalk, then go back to WR. It's all up to mods discretion, take it or leave it.
Re: Official Melbourne Victory Thread II [R] Even you Victory supporters must starting to be getting embarrassed by having an idiot such as Muscat, and his continuous thuggery in your club.
Re: Official Melbourne Victory Thread II [R] Hearts 2011/2012 Membership slogan?: Cos we're not mindless thugs. I hope the FFA man-up and the MRP bans Musc*nt for long enough to force his retirement. Even then his thuggery will continue as an asst coach at Victory. Just back from getting sent off against Adelaide he pulls that crap... Only the biggest tard of all tard fans would try to defend that 'tackle'(I use the term loosly) in Zahra. sure enough from the Herald Sun comments section: If you have a look at the tackle he went for the ball but totally misjudged it and took down the player instead. I'm not condoning the act but when you know the game is telecast, when the player is a good one but not a superstar, why would you want to take him out? Kevin plays a hard game but he's not malicious. He certainly deserves time out from the game but far from put in front of a firing squad. I hope this player recovers and has a wonderful future. - Pedro of Melbourne where to start? 1. HE WAS NOWHERE NEAR THE FRIGGEN BALL!!! HE WAS HALF WAY UP ZAHRA'S LEG! 2. So its okay to 'take out superstar' players.... Marco van Basten retired at 28 because of thuggish tackles in the 90's - led FIFA to ban the tackle from behind. 3. Mustc*nt plays so close to the border of acceptable that as he's aged and the body can no longer keep up with his brain, his timing gets worse. TSo many times this season he has been guilty of obstruction more befitting an Aussie Rules shepherd than a football player. Its just that the refs have been too gutless to call it. Finally he's pulled this garbage and even the poor/incompetent refs in the A-League couldn't turn away from it. 4. Musc*nt should never play football in the HAL again, but I'm sure the old-boys network of football pundits in Australia (Bozza excepted) will find ways to defend him as a "wily old competitor - who brings lots of character to the league" Bullsh*t!!! he is a fricken liability I would be embarrassed to have been a tard fan last night. Instead of the great game infront of a great crowd of 32k+, what is all the media talking about this morning? He's surely brought the game into disrepute. Even the normally "obsessed with AFL" Herald Sun is running a "How long a ban should he get poll?"for the good of the game, force the prick to retire by banning him for 6+ games!! grr
Re: Official Melbourne Victory Thread II [R] Muscat is a lying filthy pr*ck, that apology was clearly written by a PR flak, I'd bet body parts he slept like a log last night!
Re: Official Melbourne Victory Thread II [R] Guys, with all this talk about Muscat and what not, I think it's time that we finally have an A-League Rivalries thread or a section. Caesar or el-capitano, can you open it up for us please?
Re: Official Melbourne Victory Thread II [R] Really? Thats ashame, I thought they would have been mostly new ones who didn't like Victory, the red and white also would it be safe to say its attracting Croatian supporters more than Victory?
Re: Official Melbourne Victory Thread II [R] Even over here in Adelaide I'm hearing stories of people who used to consider themselves either indifferent or neutral when it comes to choosing between Victory or Heart now deciding that considering the stirring comeback from 2 down to get the draw by Heart and if the Muscat tackle and the Victory response("Kevin's Kevin and hey, he's been great for us in the past") are any indication of the clubs they're going to throw their lot in with the red n white side of Melbourne's football fraternity. Meh, a tard's a tard in my book, whether its an original tard or a jam tard, I don't care, they're both Victorian; they won't be getting much love on this side of the border!
Re: Official Melbourne Victory Thread II [R] Yeah agreed about the Victorians, I have never met ruder or more arrogant people in my life.
Re: Official Melbourne Victory Thread II [R] Good call. I saw a picture on the A-League website of Muscat wearing a hoody and couldn't help but notice the resemblance to Voldemort. I refrained from posting as it could have been considered trolling. A rivalries thread/section would be good and it would keep the bashing out of the official teams threads.
Re: Official Melbourne Victory Thread II [R] Being indifferent or neutral to choosing which to follow is different than jumping ship to the Heart, IMHO. Obviously there is going to be a lot of Heart fans that are former Victory fans simply because prior to the Heart the Victory were the only A-League option for Melbourne soccer fans, but I doubt Muscat's actions are going to cause any more to switch allegiance. The primary reason is because this isn't the first time that Muscat has dry humped another player's knee and claimed he was "only going for the ball, but mistimed it," just happens to be the first time there has been any real outrage over it. Anyone that's followed the Victory, even from a distance, knew it was only a matter of time before Muscat ended someone's career.
Re: Official Melbourne Victory Thread II [R] But just ask them, they're the best in the world at so many things! They've taken the title "Sporting capital of Australia"(which they could conceivably be - in terms of attendance and infrastructure close to the CBD) and corrupted it to "Sporting capital of the World!!" Really?? the whole world? including cities such as London, which host numerous Premier League clubs the 1966 World Cup final and have hosted the Olympics 3 times by 2012, even LA might have a better claim than Melbourne, Olympics, Superbowls, World Cup football finals(Men in 94 Women in 99) the College gridiron Rose Bowl etc...Probably not as big an impact on the World as London, but surely bigger than Melbourne they'll say Grand Prix..but even the Mayor of Melbourne this week has floated the idea of getting rid of it and replacing it by trying to steal Adelaide's Tour Down Under cycling event. Apparently Victorians cant think of any idea for themselves! They're expecting the bill for the F1GP to hit A$70m per year, so they've taken a great event run by Adelaide and run it into the Ground..if they manage to pinch the TDU (A long shot for sure)they'll probably ruin that too and turn it into the Tour Down Underbelly(to quote SA Premier Mike Rann) For a "sporting Capital of the world", the parochial shenanigans engaged in by the AFL(based in Melbourne) and the Vic State govt during Australia's failed bid for the 2022 football World Cup show their true colours as a bunch of narrow minded inward looking blow hards!
Re: Official Melbourne Victory Thread II [R] Yeah so agreed, the idiots still dont grasp that hardly anyone in the world has even heard of Melbourne, but they all know where Sydney is haha suck on that Victards! They also blew any good chance we had at hosting a world cup with their AFL rubbish too.
Re: Official Melbourne Victory Thread II [R] mate, its not a popular opinion, but the tards didn't lose us the bid, IMHO we were just out-politicked by the Qatari's the tard shenanigans didn't help on the home front, but I seriously doubt Sepp(tic) Bladder and his cronies know about or give a sh*t about Dimwit and the AFL.
Re: Official Melbourne Victory Thread II [R] living in the past mate, pretty sure their 27 points(21games, 6 wins 0gd)of s3 is better than the Bling's 26 points (26games, 6 wins -9 gd) this year. can we see that pic in a sky blue shirt please?
Re: Official Melbourne Victory Thread II [R] We'll be right- I think you're still scarred because you had this man in charge of you.
Re: Official Melbourne Victory Thread II [R] the joke is on us all, guess who's Holger's #2 on the Socceroo bench? I think he's been handed the reigns of the Olyroos too, look out London 2012...we'll get all the way to the final only to lose 5(Gamba) or 6(tards)- nil
Re: Official Melbourne Victory Thread II [R] Sorry but Robbie Kruses weak toe poke that got past apathetic keeper, doesnt make up for Muscat dude, or the fact that your team are like your grubby supporters, the shame of the ALeague.
Re: Official Melbourne Victory Thread II [R] Or the fact that you are going to be on the outside looking in this finals series.
I don't mind some Victory players like Kruse and Angulo even Dugandzic. But I think the rest are pretty much all pricks. Princess Leijer, Muscat and Vargas have got to be the biggest whingers/pricks in the league.
Re: Official Melbourne Victory Thread II [R] we are in a rebuilding season, it was inevitable with half our team leaving, already the turnaround has begun, watch us take out the Asian League Championship, the first ALeague team to win it, cementing Sydney FC as the ALeagues flagship club.
