You do realize everyone on this board isn't American, that doesn't mean we have to cheer AGAINST them. I was born and raised in Ecuador, but that doesn't mean I root for south american teams, (i.e. Brazil, Colombia). That is called chauvinism, nationalism, or in this board newsouth.

    So, back to the game.

Very dangerous free kick for NZ.

Some nervy minutes for the US right now. Especially along the back line.

Come On Ladies. Pull it together.

(and yes, my feed is a touch behind others...read accordingly ;) )

yeah I don't have any problems with people who are not fans of US on here but like the other posters said, if I can't have an intelligent football discussion with them, I avoid them all together and consider them to be purposely trolling the board.

Unfortunately there seems to be quite a few of them on the Big Soccer forum. The only thing I suggest is there's an ignore button luckily on here though I haven't used it yet.

That was a bit too close for comfort.

The NZ left side is taking it too the US right side.

no width on the right side for the US. LP isn't bombing forward -- in part b/c the NZ forward on her side is pretty speedy-- and Rapinoe is cutting inside a lot.

I don't know why but this has been a Morgan weakness for some odd reason. She has constatntly missed that open goal shot from the left as she gets by the keeper. Either she waits too long or rushes the shot.

She's better w/ her left foot and I think that plays a role in those misses from those angles on the left side.

Smart tactics from the NZ coach to put the faster forward on LP's side and the bigger/stronger forward on O'Hara's side.

both Morgan and Abby miss that cross from Rapinoe.
