but you can't win if you don't score, kool-aide right now atlanta can't do either. if it doesn't improve, vastly, on both sides of the ball... heh... do i even need to say it?
Atlanta is just snake-bit and they need to not get too down on themselves. I posted something on the Chicago thread about the shots-on-goal ratio. As a rule-of-thumb, I've usually figured on a ratio of 6 shots on goal for every goal in the women's game. Right now, the WPS is running closer to 5-to-1. Atlanta's ratio is an astonishing 19.2 to 1. If they keep doing the things they're doing, they will score more goals.
Oh! if soccer was so predictable, then we would already know who will be the world champion in S Africa. However if your ratios are to be taken seriously then something is really wrong!
today was exactly 4 weeks, so anytime now i'd think, sarahpt and (odd) random fact-- their next game is on her 22nd bday happy birthday?! let's hope so!!
Mami Yamaguchi scored a brace for Japan at the AFC Women's cup. Japan will meet either Australia or China in the semi-finals, pending the results of the Japan - North Korea match on the 24th.
