Must win, not b/c it's a do or die situation, but b/c this weekend, there's a good chance of Arse and Pool both dropping points. With a win on Saturday, we can put immense pressure on both teams.

With City playing Barfa this week, energy levels could be a concern for City when they go against Hull at the KC. If they dropped points along with Arse and Pool, that would be immense.

Aston Villa are also tied with Sunderland for the second-most home losses. They've conceded the third-most goals at home behind Cardiff and Fulham. They've managed a measly 4 wins at home all season.

That said, no match is a gimme in the Premier League. But I still we can come away with a comfortable win.

I think a draw is more likely, but I'll take that deal :D

No walk in the park here. Stay focused and get the 3 points. This is the time of the season that requires a no mercy mentality and the team which executes that will be champs. Good thing we have a manager that understands this.

I don't agree. The conventional wisdom says every game is a must-win....but I truly believe some games are more important psychologically. Those usually fall into 3 categories:

    1. Beating a direct rival
    2. Derby
    3. When you can put immense pressure on the teams that are right behind you.

    This game is #3.

I'll disagree. With that goal difference we can't afford to drop points until they drop points.

If we beat Villa and citeh only draw, (or, better still, lose :)), against Hull that puts MASSIVE pressure on them for the run in :)

Yep. Yes it does. A boring 1-0 win for us would be great. City may not slip up tomorrow – but they will slip up. Oh yes they will. We just have to make sure that we don’t slip up as well.

I hope United beat the scouser scum – that would keep them out of the race and Arsenal are imploding anyways – Ozil injured and also it seems that Wenger has pushed the poor Ozil lad to the point of a nervous breakdown. I hope Mr.Sherwood wins a game – some memory of being a manager that he can treasure - because he is not going to be the Spurs manager next season.

To be fair he seems one of those lads that's halfway there to start with.

They just said that JM hadn't won a league game at Villa park. That doesn't sound right... :cautious:

If that lad can get his form back it would be a massive thing in the run-in to the end of the season.
