JT could return. Either Azpi or Ivan should be rested, as both have played a ridiculous amount of minutes. Cahill will be back after missing Stoke. Ash had a rest against QPR. Oscar didn't play against Stoke. Mata hasn't played 90 minutes in the league since Boxing Day.

And we all know Ba will be getting a rest today;)

If Torres can start practically every game this season then Ba can start a few in a row. He is a professional footballer, and I'm sure he wants to play too. I want to see Ba start both.

if we're talking about our best 11, right now i'm putting moses ahead of oscar. different players obviously, but i think Moses brings a little better balance to the side, especially if the position we're talking about is going to be out wide right or left.

use oscar to give mata rest, or even in lamps position when he needs a rest.

    and yea, start Ba.

for my fantasy team. i want a 3-1 win.
    Ba Hattrick
    Shaw pulling one back

i'll be watching shaw today with more interest, despite the scoreline, he was impressive last time we played him.

Looks like Benitez is determined not to have another QPR debacle. Luiz keeps his place in defense after a clean sheet at Stoke. Ivanovic gets the rest.

    Come on Chelsea

Just to avoid any hindsight retribution: does anyone feel this line-up is a mistake?

Looks solid to me (though of course FSW's substitutions or lack thereof will be very much open for scrutiny :))

PS How low is the bar when I look at the team sheet and am grateful it isn't FUBAR'd??

depends really on how he's going to set up for arsenal. would have thought frank needed to start that game for sure, and maybe he will, just worried about his fitness a little.

otherwise, if the team can get rolling early, take off mata, hazard, and ba.

i'm cool with resting Ivan, he's been playing like crazy, and can take over RB for Cesar against Arsenal.

and Berty probably could have done well enough tonight too if we really are worried about rotation and fatigue.

in the end though, with Mikel out, lamps has to play realy.

Strong line-up. Called it. Rafa doesn't want to balls this up like QPR, clearly.

Very poor starts from the midfield pairing.

Bridge, Bale, Shaw. There is something in the water in So'ton. Not to mention Walcott and Oxlade-Chamberlain.
