When it comes to dirty play from the home side, the ref has Arsene Wenger pockets.

well innocent little Wilkinson was booked

I think he only had six or seven fouls (four of which were not called)...

An Arsene post. Nothing is complete without one.

And the one he did get booked for was nasty - studs into Hazard's calf.

If Marriner has any balls, Wilkinson will be sent off today.

Bertrand was terrible. No reason to ever start him in midfield with the AMs we have in the squad. Really missing the presence of a Cahill or JT. Luiz has done alright on the ground, but Jones is bossing him in the air. Lamps and Ram are doing okay, but really need to be winning more second balls. Mata getting lost in the wash in the middle of all the hacking.

Going forward, it's been Hazard or bust. Tough for Ba to get in the game getting rugby tackled on every ball and with no service, but at least I feel like he's a threat or at least a target.

Guy Mowbray, BBC Match of the Day commentatorHALF-TIME - Stoke 0-1 Chelsea
"Jon Walters' own goal means Chelsea boss Rafael Benitez can go into the dressing room at half-time and say 'job well done'. Benitez and Stoke boss Tony Pulis both spoke to referee Andre Marriner on their way in for the interval - there are complaints from both sides that there is too much holding going on in the area, so it will be interesting to see if both sides stop doing it in the second half."

Pulis can not be serious can he?

I really like a lot of what I see from him. I know people automatically want bane at RB, but Iwould keep Cesar there. With Bane, given how much leeway luiz was given, I would like to see him given a chance in front of the back four. Other than that recent abberation, he is far more astute defensively and the main reason we love him at RB is his ability to roam forward, something he would have full license to do in the Luiz hole.

I also would have Gaz and JT as starting CBs and think ivan has too much to offer to be stuck on the bench.

not a bad idea at all

if this is going to be an "experimental season" then perhaps giving Ivan a chance at DM may not be that bad of a thought

not sure but he may have played that role in the past

Ironic cheers from the home fans for a free kick? Really? They must be so used to being a dirty team they have no foot left in reality. No doubt they are being victimised because they don't have the money of a Chelsea or a Citeh

Glad to see Marriner taking a stance on holding and shirt pulling at set pieces... Or not.
