Interested to see how we fare without Mata and Hazard. Bertrand starting, Luiz in midfield, Torres starting... fairly "weak" lineup by previous standards.

would have thought Mikel since he'll be off soon.

otherwise, young and not very experienced with playing together line-up. that being said....SHOULD be enough, and THAT being said, hopefully it is because i don't want to drop points to this team.

also, this team COULD be a 4-3-3 just as easily as a 4-2-3-1. might be something to look for.

Think he is still suffering from a knee problem. He's not on the bench.

Let's see what he can do with as much of 90 minutes as he is given. Home start against the worst club in the league but with plenty of rust. I'm hoping for a few moments but not expecting periods of dominance from him.

This lineup tells me we think we can handle QPR fairly easily today AND we're taking the League Cup more seriously than years previous, along with FA Cup.

Marin with a red card-worthy challenge. Lucky to stay on the pitch.

That's got to be a red on Marin. How on earth is he not sent off there. Unbelievable.

If Marin is dumb enough to do THAT on his first league start, he's plenty dumb indeed. What on earth was he thinking.

Marin with an industrial-strength tackle and into the book.

We got to grind this lot into the dust... but not in that way.

Berty is going to have problems IMO. At least he's got Ivan to cover for him.

Looked like Berty played Mackie on there. We're getting fortunate with these calls.
