I'm listening to the Brazil x Egypt friendly in Doha, Qatar. The commentator points out that Egypt looks very secure in the back and apparently attempting to counter. That's not a huge surprise, but it's still somewhat interesting to hear how Bob Bradley sets things up in this game. I was surprised that his team didn't give up the customary goal in the first fifteen minutes.
I don't want to give the score in case anyone's recording to watch later, but you're on the right track. The announcers had some praise for Bradley earlier, but they also said he that he always looks like he's been freshly mummified.

I would expect Japan to be running away with the group. Guess my memories of the 2010 World Cup deceive me.

The last qualifiers of the year take place from Nov. 22-26 in Samoa. Somoa, American Somoa, Tonga, and the Cook Islands play each other once each during that time. The team with the most points moves on to the second round with the other seven Oceania members who had a bye.
It almost seems like those African group winners are easy to spot. CONMEBOL seems interesting like always.
I almost forgot about these. I think I have the dates and times correct for us here in CST. Samoa is still currently on our side of the International Date Line. They switch to the Australia/New Zealand side at the end of the year. They will have the interesting sensation of going to bed on Friday, December 29 and waking up on Sunday, December 31. They will never have a Saturday, December 30, 2011. American Samoa is not changing dates so they'll stay the same as Hawai'i. Tuesday, November 22, 2011 American Samoa v. Tonga 6:00 pm Cook Islands v. Samoa 8:30 pm Thursday, November 24, 2011 American Samoa v. Cook Islands 6:00 pm Samoa v. Tonga 8:30 pm Saturday, November 26, 2011 Samoa v. Results for Oceania Qualifying: Tuesday, Nov. 22nd Samoa 3-2 Tonga American Samoa 2-1 Cook Islands (this was American Samoa's first win in 17 years, and their first points ever in world cup play) Thursday, Nov. 24th Samoa 1-1 Cook Islands American Samoa 1-1 Tonga Standings Samoa 4pts American Samoa 4pts Cook Islands 1pt Tonga 1pt The winner of tomarrows Samoa v. American Samoa match goes through to the second round. A tie will see Samoa through on goals scored.
Unfortunantly Samoa won last nights match 1-0 over American Samoa, scoring the only goal in the 90th min. This sends Samoa through to the second round of Oceania qualifying. In the other result, Tonga defeated the Cook islands 2-1.
