Damn Portugal is murdering Cameroon 5-1!! I know it's just a friendly, but it makes me wonder if Eto'o is a divisive force in that team? If one of the young cubs wanna challenge the ol lion for his kingship?:p

I strongly believe that Tevez needs to return to the Argentine team

His performances for Argentina have been horrible though based on the past and didn't he clash with Messi before.

Not really Argentina should be more concerned about the cb position. They have enough forwards for 4 teams and most of those guys actually play with there head up unlike Carlos Tevez.

The kiss of death has come from Pele' ... sorry Chile ...

Does he realize 1A plays 2B ??? :whistling:

    http://www.gazetaesportiva.net/noti...oritos-a-copa-brasil-tem-que-ter-cuidado.html

Hard to make sensible predictions without taking that into account!

Any time someone predicts a Brazil x Germany final I want to ask them who they're predicting to finish second in their group. (It's not impossible by any means, but I very much doubt most people predicting such outcomes are taking that into account).

Considering his other favorites are all the traditional teams... I may have to go back on my Chile to advance in second prediction with Pelé backing them. Then again... I'm betting on Group B to end with Spain, Chile and Netherlands all tied on 6 points... that could make any of them first.

It seems there is an interesting fight between group B and G.

The Netherlands always disappoints, with the exception of the 2010 WC, where I believe they were fortunate to go as far as they did. In all other recent competitions they have failed miserably.

With Valdes out of the WC who fills Spain's 3rd goalie spot De Gea or Diego Lopez?

I know most people don't care too much about the US national team but it puzzles me why Klinsmann hired Berti Vogts as an advisor to the US team?

Speaking of the US I like the new away 'firepop' jerseys!! Although I feel that World Cup 94 teams had the best jerseys!!

I liked them. Not bad for an away. What I dont like is the home. I'm a big fan of the all white to switch things up. But I refuse to wear a collared shirt with buttons for futebol jersey. It reminds me of all the dbags at work who constantly wear those shirts (athletic golfing polos, lol) to the office and constantly try to talk about golf.

    NotreDF,

You cracked me up on that one!! France's home jersey by Nike is a button up navy blue with a white collar!! But the US had their best jersey in WC'94

Belgium has been dealt a blow with Benteke missing the World Cup with injury! ! And Lukaku's goalscoring hasn't been much to jump and do cartwheels about!! Hazard and De Bruyne will have to carry the Red Devils attack on their shoulders! !

Luckily Belgium has an easy group!!
