Spain had a good shot just (Iniesta) now and before, a nice arrancada by Pedro on the right flank followed by a pass to a striker - DIEGO COSTA! - who kicked it off target, but good combination of speed and passing by Spain.
Spain looks good on possession but Italy just had its second clear chance - there was an earlier striking of the post, which I missed.
They have played with plenty of strikers in the past. Torres, Villa, ... as long as they are mobile it's OK. That's the thing with Costa, he is pretty mobile and can drop to the wing if needed and still be effective.
Germany looked so Flamengo, honestly... is the Italy v Spain game as boring as I thought it would be? Cause Por v Cam is a really good game
American commentator laying into Costa saying he is not proving himself, getting on the end of crosses, blah blah blah ... apparently players have to gel instantly ...
this game is over.. back to back scores 3 x 1.. They keep showing the Cameroon GK like it's his fault for both goals because he was subbed in, that's so messed up.
I'm not watching so I don't know how bad the comments are but to be fair... this is the only remaining game before the Cup. If you haven't geled at this point you're gambling on it. That was one of the problems for the US today, their central defence was, I think, playing together for the first time ever and awful at communication. Kind of made it feel like a waste of a game because instead of prepping for the World Cup they were just confirming Ukraine as the best team not to qualify.
I agree. But this guy won't shut up about it. Plus the game is against Italy. Not exactly an easy opponent. Dude was saying ... "how long will Del Bosque keep him on the field ? "
switching games, unfortunate for cameroon, 2 defensive mistakes coming out with the ball, 2 goals.. they've been the better side for the whole game.
Pretty boring game. Spain all over in Italy's field but haven't created too much. Some speculative shots at most. But Pedro just scored.
