Here are some random observations I made on the News and Analysis board.

*Ok so now we know Omar's was 1.25m

    *Bradley is 6.5m

    *Defoe is 6.18

    *Edu is 650k

*I thought Besler was going to get a big bump but he is listed at 200k. Quite a bargain compared to Omar.

*Ozzie Alonso dp deal at 400k (seems like this would be the person they could buy down to get under the dp limit if they need another slot this summer)

*Looks like Dempsey may be highest paid now at almost 6.7 million

*Holy smokes. Landon got a nice bump at his age. He went from 2.5 million last year up to 4.5 million this year.

*EJ at 613k. A little less than what was rumored.

*Looks like the minimum salary bumped up to 36.5k from 35k last year.

Jose is on $450,000 base as we assumed...
Donnie Smith is making the least amount of anyone to play a game this year at $36,500
Woodbine is a Jamacan national teamer at $52,000 guaranteed?
I'm glad Tierney is only making about double as Woodbine. I'd rather have Jame Riley at 80K though.
I still think keeping Bengston until after the WC will turn out to be a great move. I'm assuming if he gets transferred we only have to pay half his $150,000 salary, and we'll probably see more than than in transfer money

Yup. Cap is roughly $3.1 million, so I'm sure they're using allocation money to pay down someone's salary.

To quote Norman Dale... "This is your team."

They probably do but they always tend to hold something back for a summer "just in case".

Teal is a little over priced for the ROI. Then again at this point everyone on the roster is

I am confused by this rule

Players occupying roster spots 1-20 count against the club’s 2014 salary budget of $3,100,000, and are referred to collectively as the club’s Salary Budget Players.
    • Roster spots 19 and 20 are not required to be filled, and teams may spread their salary budget across only 18 Salary Budget Players. A minimum salary budget charge will be imputed against a team’s salary budget for each unfilled senior roster slot below 18.

How do we know which teams are using 18 against the cap and which are using 20?

FWIW - teams with the most amount of players making over 200k (base):
Colorado, DC, NY, RSL, Seattle, Van - 7
Chi, Dal, KC, Mont, Port, SJ - 6
    LA - 5
    Philly, Tor - 4
    Chivas, CB - 3
    NE - 1

You can add Houston to the list of 5.

I don't think the base salary means too much though in the grand scheme, I think using the full compensation gives a better view.

So I breezed through defenders and unless I missed some one Goncalves is the second highest paid defender in the league, by a good margain.

Only one who makes more is the overpaid Omar G.

If I'm Donnie Smith and I know I'm making $4 less than Jossimar Sanchez, I'm pulling a Goncalves ASAP.

I wouldn't be shocked if the Revs are doing the 18 against the cap. Would cut the Revs cap #by 94K

How does it make sense that Mullins is making more than Neuman who was drafted before him?

Because it is not like other sports contracts based on draft position. They signed deals with MLS before the draft

We're wasting a lot of money on bench players. Does any other team in the league have as many six figure bench players as the Revs?

Who pays the roster spots from 21-30? Is it the league or the local owner?

I think it's still the league. I believe only Designated Player salaries (total cost - DP cap hit) are paid directly by the investor/operators.

Alston has always stood out for his salary. If he's not starting (and with his injury history), we're just not getting a good enough return.

At only $90k, I'm shocked Keon Daniel hasn't landed with a team yet. We should definitely pick him up.
