From Penn State Men's Soccer twitter feed: Penn State Soccer @PennStateMSOC 52m Head Coach @BobWarming now set to take part in 7 Coaches' Caravan stops including York, DC, PSU Fayette & Pittsburgh! http://www.gopsusports.com/genrel/040814aaa.html…

Penn State ends spring season with Blue / White game against PSU soccer alums; the dog was on the white team. Last Sunday Penn State played Navy in a game with lots of action that ended up 3-3. At this game vs. Navy, Penn State's new football coach James Franklin was in the stands for a good bit of the second half. As a Penn State soccer fan for over 35 years, that's the first time I've ever seen a PSU football coach at a PSU soccer game -- and a pre-season game at that. Cool that Coach Franklin came to the game. Franklin's got Penn Staters fired-up.
From Penn State soccer's twitter feed from a short while ago ... "Penn State Soccer @PennStateMSOC 26m Where there's smoke, there's a new assistant coach. We'll have a formal announcement at 1 PM! #WeAre #PennState "
PSU Soccer Hires UVA assistant coach Michael Behonick as new Penn State Assistant Coach / Goalkeeper Coach: http://www.gopsusports.com/sports/m-soccer/spec-rel/042114aaa.html
That's a move up for him and a good hire for PSU. At UVa, he was the No. 2 assistant coach so he's moving up a notch and gets to stay at a major conference. PSU gets a guy who was part of a perennial power that recruited some of the best players in the country.
PSU head soccer coach Bob Warming addressing Penn State fans and alums at first stop in the "Penn State Coaches' Caravan" series: Tony Mancuso @GoPSUTony 13h . @BobWarming at the #PSUCaravan on 4 things important to @PennStateMSOC - "Recruit, develop, retain and graduate." pic.twitter.com/klYTbp3bmD z Some video from the event and a related press conference featuring Coach Warming also: http://www.gopsusports.com/blog/2014/05/2014-coaches-caravan-pegula-ice-arena-kick-off-event.html http://www.gopsusports.com/blog/2014/05/video-coaches-caravan-press-conference-state-college.html

I like that they're playing so many in-state games. Good for rivalries that promote interest. I am assuming them not playing Pitt has to do with Pitt not wanting to play them and not because PSU is ducking them. We usually play Akron. Which makes sense as they have been one of the stronger teams in the region. Wish I could get up for the WVa game so I could say hi to Mike Lapper.
For those of you who are former Penn State players, a reunion is scheduled for the Sept 5th game, Temple. At half, the 1954 National Champion team will be honored. Details at www.oldsoccerguys.com.
From PSU coach Bob Warming's twitter feed: If you believe. Come on by. If you don't believe. Get over yourself and start believing. pic.twitter.com/1Ysci0hfaa
I believe... Bob Warming should starting giving a shit about his new players and announce his recruits.
Penn State soccer putting up some new stadium branding today ... good timing as the USA started their World Cup play with the big win today, and Bill Jeffrey, later Penn State head coach, was the Team USA head coach when they upset England in the 1930 World Cup 1-0; the assist on that goal came from Walter Bahr, who was later Penn State's head coach also.
AND... it isnt 1950 anymore.... Lets see PSU put PSU on the SOCCER MAP with their modern coaches and philosophy!!!!
My bad on getting the year wrong. Glad you guys are here to set me -- and Penn State too -- straight. Bahr and Jeffrey are next to each other in the photo below; top row at the far right. And speaking of it not being 1950 anymore, hopefully better things will continue to happen in Happy Valley. For as the PSU alma mammy puts it, "for the glory of old State ... for the future that we wait ..."
