Playoffs! Didn't even realize I'd forgotten them!

I say Seattle ties Portland, but wins on PKs.
    KC beats Flash.
Seattle beats KC, but it's close and is, once again, a late-game issue.
Ireland will win, but Krum catches the snitch.

No worries! I did myself the first time though. =-)

    Although...
According to your ladder, you've got the semifinals as 1v3 and 2v4. Repredict, please!

Jaysus, is it not 1v3 and 2v4?

Oh cor, it's 1v4 and 2v3? Fascinating. Shows how much I was paying attention!

    Seattle v WNY -- Seattle
    FCKC v Portland -- FCKC

    Seattle v FCKC -- Seattle

I JUST REALLY LIKE THE REIGN THIS YEAR OKAY.

How is everyone doing with 4/5 games left for most teams in the season.

From all the predictions, it looks like @StarCityFan will be the closest

There's always that one person who somehow manages to fall into the right picks. We had only one person get the top 4 in order last year, and that would be me.

So we can all agree WNY is the bracket buster this year?

Probably. The most underrated team was Washington Spirit. Only 2 people predicted they would be in top 4 and that was before they lost Weimer.

So, give us your true estimation of the Spirit's chances against Seattle. I see that their scores with Seattle were 1-3, 1-2, and 1-1. Do you think they have a chance?

PS - who is that in your avatar picture?

That's Matheson trolling Morgan behind a ref's back.

My vote for coach of the year is Mark Parsons, although I'm sure it will go to Ms. Harvey.

I'm not optimistic, but I wouldn't rule them out - they've played Seattle pretty tough this year. Parsons said Harvey doesn't look forward to playing the Spirit.

    What BlueCrimson said.

Okay! With the regular season done, it's time to evaluate our preseason ladder predictions!
    13pts - @StarCityFan
    12pts - @Smallchief
    11pts - @holden , @kernel_thai , @Tokonta
    10pts - @Blaze20 , @FCKCEvans , @ForeverLOST108 , @SiberianThunderT
    9pts -- @airbornerocks , @CoachJon , @Forgedias , @weelilbit , @WPS_Movement
    8pts -- @BlueCrimson , @liesse00
    7pts -- @MRAD12 , @picomast
    5pts -- @amerinorsk59
    4pts -- @babranski
    3pts -- @newsouth
    2pts -- @fire123

Looking at these predictions I think I'm going to overhaul the ladder prediction process for next year... Based on last year's contest, I thought the potential for 15pts would still get many people outscoring the best single weekly predictions. Then we had 12 weekly predictions hit 13pts or more this year! So next year I think I'm going to give more points for each potential predicted position - i.e. you could get points from all 9 teams next year if you predict correctly (with bonus points for playoffs, Shield, and Spoon) instead of getting most point just from the playoff teams.

Anyway, here's how the full-season standings (30 or more points) are shaping up so far:
113pts - @StarCityFan - consistency won SCF the prediction Shield
106pts - @holden - one of two plays to put together an impressive August push with 24pts
94pts -- @FCKCEvans , @liesse00 - liesse was the other player to kick it into gear after Week 16 with a whopping 26pts! Especially after being tied second-to-last after Week 3 with just 5pts. FCKCE would have been in second had she not dropped after Week 14
90pts -- @BlueCrimson - Blue also had a slow start to the season with just 7pts after week 3, still managing to climb to 5th place
83pts -- @Tokonta - one of the better preseason ladder predictions made up for dropping after Week 17
81pts -- @mamalia - was all the way up in 3rd after Week 14, but then dropped out
75pts -- @CoachJon - started off strong but only earned slightly under 2pts/week after Week 7
70pts -- @WPS_Movement - still makes the Top 10 even without earning a single point after Week 10
    69pts -- fire123
    66pts -- Blaze20
    63pts -- SiberianThunderT
    61pts -- ForeverLOST108
    54pts -- JuniorCoach
    49pts -- babranski
    39pts -- amerinorsk59
    <30pts - 11 people

Your preseason playoff predictions will be evaluated once the champion is crowned! In the meantime, I'm gonna start the "weekly" playoff predictions thread.
