When you watch the Bulls, they run some great offense at times, they just don't have the players to execute. Melo would greatly help. If I recall correctly, Yao praised Thibs for helping him on his offensive game, fwiw. Bulls started off slow and then died in the 4th offensively.
All of this just off the slight speculation that Melo will leave NY. Well the Lil B of BigSoccer has spoken. Melo stays in NYK, you're all welcome.
Then what do you think of Kobe Bryant's scoring, as Carmelo has the same career fg% as Kobe's (45.5% to Kobe's 45.4%)? And his 3 point shooting percentage is about a point higher.
Looks like the Wiz aren't getting any credit here for their two wins in Chicago. Wall and Beal shot poorly in Game 1 and we still won. In Game 2, we had a big lead till halftime. We missed 12 FTs. We overcame that and won.
Kobe has won chips and played f in his life, people say he chucks but he doesnt care about taking last second shots and difficult ones protecting his %
Sadly it seems that way. I guess people can't fathom the fact that if we close out this series we have a good shot at making the conference finals.
I think most of us would agree that NY has the inside track because of the money, but the real championship opportunities are in Houston and Chicago. That's why it's interesting to speculate.
Don't y'all want to be overlooked and underestimated anyway? A conversation about Thibs doesn't mean that the Wiz aren't playing well, and by your own admission you won game 1 even though you screwed up - that's giving them credit and not indicting Chicago? On another subject - someone on Grantland (Barnwell?) proposed ending a first round series if one team goes up 3-0. I like the idea.
Yeah I saw it aswell. Not bad IMO. There has never been a team that has come back from losing a series 3-0.
Because we have legitimate problems. We've had these problems in the regular season, but the Wizards are letting it show, hence why we're talking about it.
I think Mengao has a point, enough about the Bulls getting exposed, I wanna hear more about how the Wiz are exposing them. @Mengão86 @benni... @Sal GET ON IT!
One big thing is that stands out is that despite the bulls working their asses off, I mean really battling... We have been matching or at least coming close their energy levels. During the regular season, there are times we've just been hustled off the court. But the focus, the maturity is really showing. Then the defense. Once Ariza moved onto Augustine it was over. I think if not for missed free throw we'd have beat them in regular time. The refs made more calls against us, than in our favor. Including that bullshit foul on Heinrich at the end. Still need to focus. This series is not over.
I wouldn't complain about the ref if I was you. I didn't see a jump ball at the end when Nene was on Taj, nor did I see a foul when Miller attacked the hoop and didn't get fouled, yet got his free throws. You actually benefited from that foul call on Hinrich because Noah had a putback right there.
Wiz are the better team the 4 out if the 5 best players on the court in that series are on the wiz. The bulls don't have enough scorers to win this series. They will be swept. After the pacers woeful 1st half performance I predict a wiz heat ECF. Bobcats are playing the heat tough much better than anybody would think. The mavs would be up 2-0 if they were not prone to 20 point collapses. Portland looking to go 2-0. Lamarcus Aldridge is a beast the best PF in the league hands down. This is the most wide open playoffs so far in terms of who could win a title since the lockout season of 1999.
Kobe dishes more assists though. The heat are really suffering to win. Dont see them winning it all, should win bobcats by more then four. And lakers fan should defo be laughing at dwight the loser howard.
I'd pay to see how Dwight would fair in the 90s against real elite bigmen. He'd probably get his sh1t pushed in.
What is up with Aldridge? Those midrange jumpers are falling, but two straight 43+ point games... Houston need to win both in Portland to have a shot at progressing.
