Since there has been talk that One World Sports will be involved in production for all NASL games next year I thought I'd start a thread for this as news develops. I figure we'll hear more by the Soccer Bowl. If that happens, hopefully teams can get all their games on local TV as well, not just home games. I'd imagine the Cosmos will be on SNY + another channel depending on conflicts with the Mets. Maybe they try for WPIX or WLNY(NY55).
Well, this would be good and bad news for the league. Its great that the league will be on national tv. It'll suck that it will be on a channel basically no one gets.
I think the talk is that OWS would be responsible for production and would have rights to all the games for TV (US and Global) and would replace Ustream online. The local broadcasts would use the OWS production and could supplement as they wish. Right now there is anywhere between 2 and 9 cameras at any given game so just ensuring the games are produced consistently in HD and have a minimum of 4 or 5 cameras would be an improvement. I think if some teams like the Cosmos could then get access to quality feeds from away games they would definitely have all games aired locally. Having a team consistently on the air for both home and road games is key to developing a larger fanbase.
I've heard some intentionally vague info from someone with contact to the NASL office on a supposed coming announcement for 2014 league coverage. From what I heard I am guessing there will be HD feeds for all teams next year on Ustream, but having OWS broadcast league games would be much better so hopefully that comes about instead. Watching OWS Cosmos games is free for me in Canada online, and with my computer hooked up to my plasma TV looks beautiful. As for Canada, probably home games for FC Edmonton and Ottawa Fury will be on Sportnet 360 nationally as Edmonton has had this year.
I know the Cosmos have a TV deal, Edmonton I believe the have one, Minneapolis now has one, San Antonio had one in Spanish right? Any others? Atlanta? Cosmos - OneWorldsports Minnesota - 45TV Edmonton - Still Sportnet? Indy? San Antonio? Carolina? Fort Lauderdale? Tampa Bay? Ottowa? General question, not directed at you bullsear, but to everyone in general.
As of now Atlanta doesn't have a local TV deal for this season after having aired games (albeit on tape delay) on the local Azteca affiliate last year.
Indy Eleven will have games broadcast on WNDY-TV, a local non-network broadcast channel. It is a sister-station to the local CBS affiliate. WNDY carries a lot of local news and sports. It is widely available across central Indiana. All of the Eleven home games will be broadcast and some of the away games. I don't think they have said which games yet.
It was on KSAT12, the local ABC affiliate and MeTV .... the main affiliate actually had 3 matches last season (meaning, it was on instead of national programming) with the rest on MeTV. I actually don't know of any Spanish deal. Not sure what's going on this season
Sportsnet dropped the FC Edmonton games and said call us back when you get a new field without football lines, since thats getting done for the Fall Season its a good bet that they and Ottawa(Fall Season as well when they move into their reno'd stadium) will be on nationally in Canada then. TSN or Goal TV Canada could also make a deal for either/both Canadian teams.
FTL Strikers on TV????? I would say, um.....no. That thought probably hasn't even crossed Traffic USA minds yet.

You don't pay just put your basic info in and not card info... You just resubscribe to go from free to paid. I already got my paid account... It was painless.
Sounds good, I'll be signing up for the season package, hopefully the streams are improved but at $29 I'll get it regardless. Most streams were fine on my setup last season except the Strikers and Rowdies were lower quality than the others, hope Edwards spends some $ on their setup like Minn U did last year when they upgraded to HD cameras.
Well you have to sign up, and after 10 days if you don't cancel, your credit card gets charged. Just like Netflix, but with less selection.

FC Edmonton will have a TV deal for 2014 according to the colorman from last year, Steve Sandor, he won't trump the announcement though so not sure who it is yet. Ottawa Fury FC games will be shown locally on Rogers TV for 2014. http://the11.ca/2014/04/02/nasls-ne...-down-for-fury-and-fce-supporters/#more-13570
