2014 Matchday #8: Union v Dynamo, April 19, 2014 p/d/p (R)

I think the Union has the talent to beat Houston, but I think Hacktics dictates this will be a home draw.

 

When was the last time we beat them? First game of 2011? Kinnear out-coaches Hack every time.

 

good news is the weather is saying 62 and cloudy with only a 20% chance of precipitaion now.

 

Beat HOU at home in 2012.

 

Redbull and this game could really spring the team up the table, or pin them at the bottom…..

Hoping for 4 to 6 out of these two, my gut tells me between 1-0 points will be had.

 

Remember when people were confident of beating Houston everytime? I remember how confident people were that we'd win that first playoff game because "we hadn't lost to Houston before."

Since we've been watching reruns every week: five man back line with Le Toux's agent back in uniform.

 

I'm standing by a draw. With reservations.

I have no faith in the back four. It does not matter who makes up the back four.

i'm not sure when, and i voted for a tie, but with the amount of frustration in the team, I do expect one game soon to end in a Union blowout.

ps. i looked at the stats ofter watching the game, and thought I must have seen two different games, so maybe one of these games we can get a quality positive result.

 

But, but, but..... that requires scoring and all that stuff.

 

After last night, I'd like to change my answer. I'm voting the str8 no h8te ticket. Its POSIDELPHIAN time! Union WIN. Wheeler looked great in the back 4, Hopp's speed stretches tired defenses, Mike Lahoud is rounding into form, I think Hack's got us on the right track! UNION 4 Dynamo 0, take it to the bank!

In unrelated news, I've recently filled the role other local journalists have vacated on the Union staff. I'll be penning human interest stories on the Union as I cover the team. I expect us to win if Williams is healthy and ready. If he isn't, tie game.

 

I don't know if he's enough to shore up that back line. They've looked bad no matter who is back there.
