The only problem is the NASL owns the LA Aztecs name and logo. Maybe there is a loophole where they could go with LA Aztecs FC. Otherwise, they would have to buy the trademark from the NASL.
*facepalm* No, it's not. And it won't happen, for a myriad of reasons, here are just the really big ones: 1. NASL holds the Aztecs brand (and if you think they aren't eyeing West Coast expansion, you're kidding yourself) 2. There is no real brand history, the Aztecs were not the Cosmos of the West, the only people that think that are people that weren't really there, but have Wiki'd NASL and went "Oh, hey. There was a team in LA with Johan Cruyff and George Best, they must have been HUGE!" Fun Fact; they weren't. They won the Championship once, before the Pele era, and had pretty poor attendance. Which brings me to my next point: 3. (excluding the '13 season) Chivas USA outdrew the Aztecs... Every. Single. Year. During the Bradley/Preki golden age the Goats outdrew the Aztecs attendance figures by double, sometimes triple. 4. This "history" you speak of, the Aztecs were a team that was around for eight years over thirty years ago, in a league that collapsed and failed. Is that really something to go dredging up?
1 Your point has been brought up many times but the NASLnostalgites are immune to facts. NASL history is their anti-dote to all the real & imagined faults of MLS. 2 Do you have any mods around here?

Now, this old, but still recent, article became more interesting than never: http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...ops-chivas-usas-search-home-their-own-la-word 2014 is also the last year of Chivas's rental agreement with StubHub Center. The new ownership could pull a "Buck Stadium situation" and play on cheaper venue while seeking a new place to build a new house. For you, locals, how bad is the Weingart Stadium?
Where the hell are our Mods? The trolls just keep coming and coming, I mean seriously what the hell?!
Black Army 1850 fought for this change, the moment the moment Vergara bought the team outright. We took a lot of shit from all sides for protesting Vergara's ownership. We knew he wasn't the right owner for this club. In the end, he only cared about money. He threw every Chivas USA fan under the bus when he blamed us for hurting the "Chivas brand". When you fight for what you believe in, some may call you traitors. Others will join the band wagon. Many are doing both. I say, welcome aboard. 2014 is going to a fun ride. Eastlarebrand.
@Ismitje stuff like this. Seriously, this member has been trying to stir the pot for days, please could we get a break from him?
Have a question for Chivas fans. Saw the leaked image and noticed Corona wasn't on it. Wanted to know if any of you guys could shed some light on this since I havent heard anything about Corona ending their shirt sponsor deal.
