Sangju? I think they will finish mid-table. Too much talent on that team and if I remember correctly, the players can stay with the team entire season instead of transferring back to their old clubs in September (someone correct me? I could be wrong here).
I'm in the minority here and I actually like Classic/Challenge. At least it's original (minus the K-League part).
I picked them because I thought that they'll lose good players if the time is up. I might be wrong though. They should have called it 국가리그 (gukga ligeu) or 극상리그 (geugsang ligeu).
Hard to see them go past 9th imo. "Too much talent" is a stretch. Their squad looks pretty average. They also have the downside having to get used to the 1st division again and players leaving mid season since they're not bound by transfer windows. Tough to manage a team like that.
they also lose a good portion of their squad mid season which can really hurt them after the split FC Seoul and Suwon to go down
Hope you're joking. That team is depleted. I have Pohang repeating. As for Sangju, I thought they were able to keep their entire roster for the season (even when their military obligation is up)? Wasn't this the reason why they were force to relegate because it didn't meet AFC regulation? If i'm wrong here, then yeah they might be in the bottom of the K-League though I really doubt they would get relegated. They have few stars on that team. Lee Keun-Ho alone can score double-digit goals in the Classic. Lee Sang-Ho and Lee Ho are top tier guys in the K-League scene. I haven't really seen Lee Sang-Hyub but he had a pretty solid season last year.
Pohang's even more depleted. Seoul at least made good money off of Dejan and Ha Dae-Sung, and brought in decent players like Osmar and Costa, something Pohang is too poor, and/or refuses, to do. That league double last season was well fought for, but Pohang is far from a possibility of a repeat.
yeah, pohang's priority seems to be on the ACL and they do have a weaker and younger squad than last season.
Yeah I know Pohang had some changes but they arguably have the best youth system and manager in the league. Nobody expected Pohang to win the title last season either.
You don't have to remind us of team squads and managers. If you look at their relegation rivals they look quite average. As for the roster rules, yes players go mid season. Lee Sang Hyub is going to Jeonbuk in April. Lee Kun Ho will probably go back to Ulsan around October. Going to be quite stressful for the manager and probably detrimental when it's time for the split. Also if Lee Sang Ho and Lee Ho top tier players than how is Seoul depleted.
Yah Kim Shin Wook Han Sang Woon...Rafinha...Ko Chang Hyun Kim Sung Hwan...Masuda Kim Young Sam...Kim Chi Gon...Kang Min Soo...Lee Yong Kim Seung Kyu Kim Min Gyun/Kim Yong Jin ... Caique/Almir Park Yong Ji ... Kim Sun Min ... Baek Ji Hoon ... Kim Yong Tae Jeong Dong Ho/Lee Myung Jae ... Park Dong Hyuk ... Yoo Jun Soo ... Choi Tae Uk Kim Young Kwang If Choi Jin-soo decides to come back from loan, there I couldnt be any more happier.
This is what I like about K League Challenge...these teams need to loan more and get the best out of players that are not getting any time in the Classic.
Based on preseason reports i think we'll see something like this on opening week... vs. (+kim yong dae) Need to see the ACL match against CCM to get a better idea. Idk what formation we're using. Apparently Kim Hyun Sung and Yun Ju Tae are doing well so they might make the starting line up. Though friendlies have been misleading in the past. As for Jeonnam, Ha Seok Ju says they'll be playing a compact, high tempo system so i'm guessing that means they'll pack the midfield and look for quick counters. Stevo and Lee Jong Ho have been in good form in friendlies.
Seoul looks way too weak. Being slowstarters Jeonnam Dragons have a good chance. Stevo Ristic Krizman ... Lee Jong Ho ... Shim Dong Woon Lee Seung Hee ... Song Chang Ho Hyun Young Min ... Lim Jong Eun ... Cornthwaite ... Park Sun Yong Kim Byung Ji And then theres Park Gi Dong, Kim Young Woo, Park Jun Tae, Jeon Hyun Chul etc. Not bad.
