당장의 승격보단 클럽의 100년을 (100 years of stability is more important than immediate promotion)

Classy statement made by Daejeon fans.

Great crowds for the K-Challenge matches

wow.. I was initially worried about Daejeon Citizen.. I thought their crowd numbers would drop like crazy (they had a terrible avg. attendance in the Classic) but it seems like it's doing them some good.

our "2nd Division" K-League Challenge is improving in terms of attendance and quality. it'll be interesting to see where our leagues will be in avg. attendance/caliber 5, 10, 20 years from now.

There's not much of a difference between the 1st and 2nd divisions already. Unless we get more matches on bigger broadcasters it probably won't change.

The former K-League Classic clubs and Anyang have had some potential to have average attendance of 10K+.

dont forget Bucheon FC. I also think Suwon FC (KL-Challenge), Seoul United (Challengers League), Chungju Hummel (KL-Challenge) are on the right track for decent attendance numbers in their respective leagues.

Daejeon has a small but loyal fanbase. I don't think their attendance will drop dramatically seeing as how it wasn't that good to begin with in KClassic.

Will K-league attendances go up if Korea has a good WC2014 campaign?

As for Seoul United, do you know why their proposal to become a Seoul-based professional club was rejected by the local government?

Regardless of KNT's performance in Brazil 2014, the attendance level won't be affected by far.
That's what we experienced in 2006 and 2010.

Because it is a dramatic game being played on a WORLDWIDE STAGE. That's the key part. Country vs. country, not just league team against league team. Most Koreans aren't as interested in the football itself as they are the worldwide implications and bragging rights.

Vasco of rokfootball posted in regards to this topic a while back but it doesn't really answer the question.
