BAHRAIN open their campaign in the 22nd edition of the Gulf Cup against Yemen on November 13.
The tournament schedule was confirmed yesterday following the draw for the first round held Tuesday in Riyadh.
The Saudi capital will be hosting the competition from November 13 to 26.
Bahrain are in group 'A' for the preliminary round alongside Yemen, Qatar and hosts Saudi. Group 'B' features Iraq, Kuwait, Oman and defending champions the UAE.
Following their first game on opening night, Bahrain take on Saudi in their second game on November 16. Their final match will be against Qatar on November 19.
All six GCC countries are taking part in the Gulf Cup, along with their Yemeni and Iraqi counterparts, making for an eight-nation event.

Originally the Yemeni FA announced that it was to be held in Jeddah, don't know why it was switched.

I agree. Given that the new stadium in Jeddah is ready to host football matches, I cant understand why the tournament organizers decided to hold the 2014 Gulf Cup of Nations matches in Riyadh instead.

Actually I was furious first too but later realized , most of the fans prefer to come by road which means Riyadh makes more near distance rather than crossing entire KSA by road to Jeddah.

And an Indonesian team just kicked a Kuwaiti teams arse which tells us what?

You try to ridicule Yemen, that was your only objective

Yet you say this like they have played the same amount of editions as everyone else.

Bahrain have never won the competition in 21 editions, that's surely much worse?

Oman have won it only once in 19.

From the 21 games they played, they tied 3 and lost 18. That is a bad record and shows how weak they are.

They might be weak, but you need to compare them with the teams they are up against....they might be as equally weak.

To compare Yemen 2014 with Yemen previous years is what to do with the 2014 edition?
