No, that's true, its not. I had to set a cutoff, though, and going with 34 games cuts out Stoichkov. 0.2243 per 90; his total Goals+Assists is 15th amongst players with at least 1530 minutes.
I'm saying that one would expect that the team should be built around your defending league MVP. Moving the MVP out of his natural position is folly. Quincy would not start on a good MLS team, even a team without a Keane, Defoe, or DiVaio. Would Quincy start on RSL or SKC, for example? [I don't think so.] But Magee could, and should be put into a position to best leverage his abilities, not square-pegged to fit a formation. Agreed about #HauptmanOut. But moving the league MVP out of his natural position is on the manager.
Yeah but, having him as the lone forward would be a mistake also, he needs to be up top with another forward. If our cheapass owner would back his words up with getting a "Keane money" player, then Magee wouldn't have to play out of position. "Keane money" player and Magee in a 4-4-2 formation.
Now that Rolfe is gone, it opens up a spot for Klose! C'mon Andy, open up Ellen's purse and get it done...
One of those ones that also becomes an air hockey table? Nice. No wonder he doesn't have time to properly run his soccer franchise.

This summer, I would like to see the Fire raid Antalyaspor in Turkey. We could sign Milan Baros (recovering from a ligament tear), who is available) on a free, as his contract expires in July (Wikipedia has him "without a club", although I have hear that he has been released from Anyalyaspor). He is only 32, only retired from the Czech National Team after the 2012 Euro (second all time Czech goal scorer), he's played for Liverpool, Aston Villa, Galatasary, and, while he is recovering from a serious injury, it is a recoverable injury (not like the unfortunate cases of Paulo Wanchope or Arne Friedrich). He could just tear up MLS defenses. Of course, he could also be a bust. If we don't sign Klose, I would take Baros in a heartbeat. Also, Anton Ferdinand is at Antalyaspor, but he has a three contract with them. At this point in time, I would probably take Anton over a 35 year old Rio (both subjects of Fire rumors in the past). Anton would also be much cheaper.
http://www.mlsplayers.org/salary_info.html Magic Mike listed at $350k salary, $417k guaranteed. That would be his new deal, right?
