March draw in Kuala Lumpur question... Is it a random draw for the next round or are teams seeded to keep certain countries apart from each other?
Re: March draw in Kuala Lumpur question... It's according to March FIFA rankings, released March 7. We will overtake Japan since we won both the friendly and qualifier and they lost to the Uzbeks/beat Iceland. If the pot drawing is the same as four years ago, Australia and Korea will be in different pots and not face each other.
Re: March draw in Kuala Lumpur question... I would much rather face Australia than Japan. The prospect of playing Japan right now kind of scares me, and I don't think I've ever said that before LOL
Re: March draw in Kuala Lumpur question... I don't think we know for sure yet though, AFC hasn't released drawing procedures. The seeding has been announced to be slightly different from last time (up to date FIFA ranking as opposed to seeds from previous round).
Re: March draw in Kuala Lumpur question... I don't think there is any team in Asia that can outperform Endo, Hasebe and Honda in the midfield. But I think this difference so miniscule that it shouldn't really matter. I don't see Japan repeating their 3 goal victory any time soon in the foreseeable future. That being said, I honestly doubt Korea will gain vengeance by a 3 goal margin as well.
Re: March draw in Kuala Lumpur question... Would love a chance to face the Japanese national. I don't know about us getting the top tier seed for final rounds of qualifying but would a real chance to even up the score for the that Asian cup penalty loss. Not so much for their 3-0 friendly bashing.if there is a time beat to even up the score, the first match against them in the final round can be vital.
Re: March draw in Kuala Lumpur question... Kim Jung-woo is the answer for that. Rewatch the KOR-JPN friendly prior to the WC 2010.
Re: March draw in Kuala Lumpur question... I remember KJW being the favourite scapegoat of everybody here...
Kim JW is good at launching attacks and participating in them when Korea is giving the tempo. But as soon as you put pressure on him, he panics and looses the ball, becomes totally inefficient. I don't remember Endo causing too much trouble, but Honda with his good ball covering could easily pass him and the rest of the MF.
We were missing a number of players for that match but still, excuses are for losers. We just need to get better as our team is young and all....
