and they did not learn from 1998 , 4-0 vs France
they also did not learn from 2002 , 8-0 vs Germany
they also did not learn from 2006 , 4-0 vs Ukraine

does not matter still the best team in AFC ;) .

Considering that France became World Champion, I'm not too mad at that result. :D

+ the ridiculous red card to Khilaiwi in the beginning of the match.

There is the issue of lack of competitive matches should we be knocked out in this round. I don't think Rijkaard will hang around to coach 2 years worth of friendlies.

Is there any news / update regarding Saudi preparation for "Saudia's Most Curcial Match Against Australia" on Feb 29, 2011 ???

I hope Saudi FA is having their act together in arranging at least 3 to 4 friendly matches against big heavy weight European Opponents who match the Australian style of Play as well as Australian Players ... say e.g., Scotland, Ireland, Wales, etc.

Majority of Socceroos for this game will be locals but that will still include guys like Emerton and Kewell........and some names you have probably never heard of.

I dunno, our record against Ireland (3-0 in Ireland) and Wales (2-1 in Wales, team included Bale, Bellamy, Ramsey) is pretty good :p

I sure wish for Saudi Arabia to win this match 5-0 against Australia on 29/02/2012.

May my wish come true Insha' Allah ...

Come on Saudi Arabia, show some true spirit ... win this match at any cost !!! ... It's do-or-die ...

By No means this Australian side is weak at all !!! They have match winners and big name in this squad which is going to face Saudi Arabia on 29/02/2012 ...

Saudi Arabia should attach from the word "GO" ... and bag some early goals ... Don't wait for the 2nd half as 1st half will decide the game !!!

I'm gonna laugh so hard if AUS scores 5 against the Saudis! And you know it can happen. Ignoring the likes of Guam and Maldives, no team in Asia loses by bigger margins than KSA! 4-0 in the previous WC they were at, 8-0 against Germany, 5-0 against Japan etc...

Just to keep the record straight and to bring into your information, Iran also lost more or less the same way in the past as KSA in last 2 decades. Following are the list of matches which Iran lost miserably and offcourse, Iran also lost to Pakistan & India while Saudi Arabia never lost to Pakistan & India ever in their match:

Sah_bechkam will be proud of below ...

02/06/2007 San Luis Potosi Mexico 4:0 Iran
    01/09/2000 Vienna Austria 5:1 Iran
11/12/1988 Doha Korea Republic 3:0 Iran
    03/06/1978 Mendoza Netherlands 3:0 Iran
    11/06/1978 Cordoba Peru 4:1 Iran
    17/01/1974 Karachi Pakistan 2:1 Iran :D
    18/08/1973 Sydney Australia 3:0 Iran
    14/06/1972 Recife Portugal 3:0 Iran
    11/12/1966 Bangkok Japan 3:1 Iran
    09/12/1959 Cochin Iran 1:4 Pakistan
    11/12/1959 Cochin India 3:1 Iran
    :D :p
    26/05/1958 Tokyo Israel 4:0 Iran
28/05/1958 Tokyo Korea Republic 5:0 Iran
    28/05/1950 Istanbul Turkey 6:1 Iran

Trust me, Saudi Arabia can turn the table around based on LUCK !!!

1959?! Are you sure you've had your medicine this morning? And 3-1 at that? I'm talking late 90's and 2000's and scorelines of 8-0. 5-0... and he brings me 3-1 scorelines from the 50's!!!

May be you need to have a taste of some medicine ... I talked about history of Iranian football where you lost with more than 2 goals ... And yes, you can find the same score on FIFA's official website by searching in the fixtures & results section...

If KSA lost 8-0 in 2002, then Iran also lost 5-0 and 6-1 in her football history. Remember, Iran is playing football since 1900s while Saudi came on the world stage in 1950s so Saudi comparatively entered later in Soccer as compared to Iranian Footballing history.

I will not discuss on this any further as this thread is for Saudi 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifyer, Not Iranian or Saudi Soccer history and worst match results.

    I am from Iran

and I have one Question for the Saudi Members.

Why I dont see Mohammed Noor name in the Last Rijkard List, for the game against Australia.

He is injured or only Rijkard not call him.

He was injured. Besides, Saudi Arabia has much more talented players (youngsters) in the squad who are promising e.g., Ahmed Al Fraidi who is just 23 years of age, Hamad Al Hamad, Yahya Shehri, etc.

I believe saudi arabia no more strong team with this generation , before with Yasser and Sami Al Jaber and before Maged Abdalla and others was the best ever and the top of Asia .

now in all saudi arabia you cant find good Playmaker even to Create the Chances .

and all people there keep blame the sport Kings !!! strange this , what you want Guys from the Kings ? to get in and score goals instead of the lazy players ?

Because they interfere in the policies of the national team and prevent players from going abroad by placing huge sums of money on transfer fees for the players.
