Brazil - Croatia opening game. Would be great to see Croatia upset Brazil.

Three very tough groups in B, ours, and F.

Of course Argentina and France get the cake groups.

Not gonna happen. I think you're going to see a decent Brazil side, with a home field advantage, and a special push from the officials the way they got in the Confederations. They're going to be very difficult to beat.

    Nice draw for us.

Italy has shown they can beat both Uruguay and England fairly recently. No reason we shouldn't top this group.

However, Uruguay will be no pushover this time around, they;ll be looking for revenge and with them being much closer to home turf (hardly any time difference), I have a feeling it will be a very very close and tough match.

    Can't wait till next summer!

Italy drawn with England & Uruguay
    By Football Italia staff

Italy have been drawn in Group D for next summer’s World Cup, alongside Uruguay, Costa Rica and England.

The Azzurri will kick off their campaign in Manaus on June 15 against England with kick off at 02.00 GMT.

Cesare Prandelli’s men then travel to Recife to face Costa Rica on June 20 before ending the group stages in Natal with a match versus Uruguay on June 24.

All three games will be in northern cities which are known for their heat and humidity at that time of year.

Should Italy make the Last 16, they will play one of the top two teams in Group C, which consists of Colombia, Greece, Ivory Coast and Japan.

    http://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/dec/05/england-manager-roy-hodgson-manaus

England's manager Roy Hodgson is not welcome, says the Manaus mayor

Virgilio said: "We would also prefer that England doesn't come. We hope to get a better team and a coach who is more sensible and polite. He's one of the few people in the world who is not curious about the Amazon, who doesn't want to know about Manaus."

LOL, sounds like the Manuas Mayor is a bit too sensitive. Hodgeson was just commenting on the hot/humid weather and this guy thinks he's bashing his city...LOL

Dream draws for Argentina and France, very tough for Spain, Holland, Italy, Germany, England, Portugal.

I think Italy's situation is not easy. We'll play in the north--in a very tiring humidity and heat. Lots of travel, too. Uruguay and England are extremely tough matches. And even if we get out of the group, we're probably looking at Spain or Brazil in the quarterfinals.

So we have a tough challenge. Maybe that's good though--as Prandelli says, the biggest danger is feeling too comfortable. Forza Azzurri!

I'd say Brazil's draw is pretty easy , for them anyway.... how convenient.

They'll have hard road after the group stage though. They could end up having to play the Netherlands/Spain, Columbia, and then Germany just to get to the final.

This could have been far worse. England and Uruguay will not be easy opponents but we can leave either of them packing, preferably England of course :)

Pretty decent draw, Uruguay is the biggest threat IMO in our group. The Azzurri better be awake from the first second, losing to a team like Costa Rica is my worst fear, they shouldn't wait for a goal to be scored on them to wakeup!!

Glad we're going to start with a hyped match vs England though, Italy under pressure = good.

I'm however not sure how I feel about meeting Spain or Brazil in the quarter finals, on one hand I feel that's a very good chance to catch them offguard, on the other hand I really don't want the Azzurri to get knocked out early =(

I WISH we were in group G instead of Germany though, half of it were in our 2006's WC Group too LOL, it's just more comfortable there IMO.

Overall it's pretty good, so FORZA AZZURRI <3

Not a bad group, we should advance along with Uruguay. Round of 16 verses Colombia's Group C so we have a reasonable route to the quarters.

Fortunately, they are Argentina and France, guaranteed that we will soon be laughing at their underperformance and humiliation once again. I hope the Nigerians kick the shit out of Messi. The French squad will just kick the shit out of each other in the locker room, the team hotel, the team bus...

Both of those countries have 0% chance to win this WC, I'm not worried.
