Does anyone know where I can watch the Dynamo game today? I know CSN comcast will broadcast the games on cable but as I don't use cable I don't have access to the channel. However, I can access to CSN online the web, will it be broadcast there?
Seattle has announced that the SEA v HOU game on August 10 will be one of six games where the stadium will be completely open (and presumedly completely full). Wow. Makes me think about traveling to that game. August is a great time to be North of Texas.
I was at this fixture four years ago-Seattle is really nice this part of the year. Stays light until 2130 hours. Lots of whales to go see in the San Juans around that time of the year. I really like the Seattle area-just can't stand their fans.
Does anyone know the record for Seattle when they play at full capacity? I think they never lost a match when the stadium is full. This could be the MLS version of the "Maracanazo" if our Dynamo finally get their 1st 3 pts. in Seattle.
Possible dates for the U.S. Open Cup courtesy of Kenn Tomasch: Wednesday, May 14: Round 1 Wednesday, May 28: Round 2 Saturday/Sunday, June 14-15: Round 3 Tuesday/Wednesday, June 24-25: Round 4 Tuesday/Wednesday, July 8-9: Quarterfinals Tuesday/Wednesday, August 12-13: Semifinals Tuesday/Wednesday, Sept. 30-Oct. 1: Final I'm really skeptical of Round 3 being on a weekend. Kenn is as well. We'll have to wait and see about that. MLS teams would enter in Round 3 and the league is on World Cup break but the USL has a full schedule that weekend.
I could see them playing on a weekend if the league is on break. They'd get higher attendance and possibly more starters playing.
MLS sure, and the NASL is also on break but USL is not. Obviously they could change but usually the leagues know the tentative USOC schedule. There are six USL games scheduled for June 13 and 14. By comparison, the USL has no games scheduled for May 28 which is likely when they would start USOC play. They also do have midweek games scheduled for June 11 which is the most likely date if June 14-15 is incorrect so maybe my theory is out to lunch.
Not Dynamo related but I didn't want to start another thread for it. The Canadian Championship is changing. http://www.nasl.com/article/uuid/1n...ships-to-summer-starting-in-2015#.UyxrFPldX1E In 2014, the Canadian Championship will be the same as recent years running April-June. There are now five teams in that competition, 3 MLS and 2 NASL. The winner will participate in the 2014-2015 CCL. In 2015, the Canadian Championship will move to July-August. The winner of that competition will be in the 2016-2017 CCL. To fill the gap, the highest ranking Canadian MLS team in the overall table at the end of the 2014 MLS season will enter the 2015-2016 CCL.
This explains why the game at the Red Bulls in July was moved to April: http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...d-bulls-thierry-henry-set-host-arsenal-red-bu
