Well, I would say I stand corrected, except that it wasn't my idea, it was something I read. I had my doubts when I read it too.maybe the main point was more about the tradition to go to games on holidays was a northern one....
Anyone else notice that the MLS allstar game in Portland is 4 days before the Dynamo game in Seattle? That could be a hell-of-a fun week in the Northwest.
Portland . . . . Seattle . . . . Dash . . . . . women's soccer . . . Sounders fans . . . . this is like a LGBT fantasy trip!!!
And conversely, when we were in Seattle their fans were saying they were afraid to come to Houston cause they didn't want us to execute them. And I think they make a better point....
Actually this is more frustrating than anything. So close but no cigar. A week is too much to take off work, for the 8/3 game and the 6th conflicts with the all star game. If only one of those games was on the 8th or 9th.
The Dynamo game at New York originally scheduled for July 27 has been moved to April 23. The schedule in April now looks like this: Sat 04/05 MLS Dynamo v. FC Dallas Houston, TX 7:00 pm TBA Sat 04/12 MLS New England v. Dynamo Foxborough, MA 4:00 pm TBA Sat 04/19 MLS Philadelphia v. Dynamo Chester, PA TBA TBA Wed 04/23 MLS New York v. Dynamo Harrison, NJ 6:30 pm CSN Plus Sun 04/27 MLS Dynamo v. Portland Houston, TX 2:00 pm UniMas And we only have three games in July with a two week break before the first game in August. I'll update the All Fixtures thread eventually. Oddly the April 23 game shows CSN Plus as the TV on the Dynamo website. That is the only game with local TV information.
Seeing that CSN Plus listed made me check the CSN-H tv listings. On their website they have nothing listed for any day after today. So I googled it. Zap2it has listings for CSN-H. That site says that the Dynamo-Revs game will be on CSN-H live next Saturday.

Pretty clear after looking at the TV schedule that the MLS Live perk was almost an must do for the FO. Mostly CSN Houston and no KPRC games listed. And few UniMas games as well. And pretty unlikely this CSN matter is going to get resolved anytime soon unless someone folds and even then no guarantee that CSN gets on elsewhere.
I don't have CSN and have been following the whole fiasco only as much as the people on here discuss details. But I cracked up when I saw "CSN Plus!" What's that?? If almost no one gets CSN, is CSN Plus like a double secret Channel that absolutely no one can get?? Do you have to do things like wear a tin foil hat and sit on a three legged stool on a Mountain top to get that? The whole CSN saga is bizarre
this is funny-I have a three legged dog (no joke)-last season, I tried to watch a few matches with rabbit ears off Mega 55-The reception at my house is terrible. So I am playing with the antenna and my three legged dog walks into the room and does something to the reception and I finally get the feed-I get so excited I yell "alright!", the dog freaks out because he thinks he did something wrong and runs out of the room and I lose the feed and can't watch the rest of the match.
The USA has announced some more friendlies. Could affect Brad Davis. http://www.ussoccer.com/News/Mens-National-Team/2014/03/140306-MNT-SendOff-Series.aspx May 27 USA v. Azerbaijan 7 p.m. PT ESPN2, WatchESPN, UniMas Candlestick Park; San Francisco, Calif. June 1 USA v. Turkey 2 p.m. ET ESPN2, WatchESPN, UniMas Red Bull Arena; Harrison, N.J. June 7 USA v. Nigeria 6 p.m. ET ESPN, WatchESPN, UniMas EverBank Field; Jacksonville, Fla. The Dynamo are at San Jose on May 25, at Colorado on June 1, and then home for KC on June 6.
The Dynamo have a new local Spanish language TV partner: http://www.houstondynamo.com/news/2...do-houston-becomes-new-spanish-tv-home-dynamo Here are the KTMD-47 games: Sat, April 12 @ New England Sat, April 19 @ Philadelphia Union Sat, May 17 LA Galaxy Sat, July 12 @ Toronto FC Sat, Aug 23 @ Columbus Crew Sat, Sept 13 Columbus Crew Sat, Sept 20 @ Philadelphia Union
I'm to tired on a Friday after work to come up with some joke about tape delay Houston footy matches. I mean we had live broadcasts on Telemundo from Butler Stadium for our old HurricaneS FC in 2000 and with our advancement of the sport over the last 14 years...tape delays for our Div-1 footy team. Sigh.
My hope is that it leads to a 'Telemundo" shirt sponsorship. That's what occurred when Telemundo became the partner of Leon in La Liga Mx.
Not until they broadcast matches live. If I were Canetti, I would've negotiated a better TV deal. The last thing MLS 2014+ needs is tape delays.
It would have been better if it was closed-circuit Spanish broadcasts with special decoder boxes. In guess its Telemundo, and the games would not been seen by most due to the CSN fiasco, but tape delay is so very 1978. Tape delay worked in that era and probably thru the mid 80s, but is just not viable now.
