The USsoccer has decided they don't want her and until they or Tom changes their mind, the doctor will not see her.

My thinking a few years ago on this was something like this:
Pia says to herself Lori can be cleared to play but the next concussion could be worst, so if I pick her for the WC team and she has another one close to or at the WC, then I have a problem. Easier to just avoid.

I really doubt Sermanni has the option...if he did ud think he call her in for competition's sake if nothing else. Im surprised she cant file a grievance thru the union. They r denying her the right to work.

I meant if Tom changes USSF's mind.

You mean the WNT players union (or whatever its called) that she is most likely not a member of ?
She can work where ever she wants except for on the WNT.

Ah but u forget the USSF cleverly combined the NWSL players into the CBA. There is one union and one CBA and she's a member of it.

From what I've heard, he hasn't. This whole situation really is a shame, and I feel terrible for how badly Lori has been treated by TPTB. But on the other hand, the depth of the current player pool is so strong, that there are many players who could fill that same role without all the potential risks.

I have a hard time believeing he didnt want her in that first 29 back in February. At this point the pool is much stronger than it initially was.

I keep them all. Other than the two who want to be back in the Fatherland, the only advantage I see to not picking up options is u think u over paid them.

We can't really speculate on the Mexican and Canadian allocations until we hear of what they are going to do or what changes will take place. I would love to have Maribel Dominguez and Adreana Leon back.

As far as Boxx is concerned, I don't think she's coming back next year, especially if her pregnancy is still in early stages.
Amy LePielbet is also a mystery. We have heard nothing from her or about her.

The Red Stars could end up with 0 US Allocated players next year.

I can almost bet the Germans are not coming back.

Article in the equalizer about Mexico today but Cuellar really doesnt commit to anything.

Boxx maybe at some point...LePeilbet definitely.

If I had to pick between Leon and Dominguez, I'd pick Leon. Dominguez might be more established, but I think Leon has more potential. A full season of Leon and Hoy picking apart defenses with their speed could be what Chicago needs to get into the postseason next year.

If Boxx comes back at all, it'll most likely be towards the end of the season, and her age and health issues are always going to be a concern. I know she wants to try for 2015, but the question is, does she have enough left in the tank to get there?

I'd wager that LePeilbet will be available by the start of the season. With Hemmings most likely on the shelf for another few months, Chicago is going to need a central defender, and LePeilbet is excellent there.

Or they could end up with one of Seattle's allocations.

Which is not necessarily a bad thing. Chicago can use their two first round picks to fill the roster spots vacated by Grings and Fuss and get two high quality young players that they can develop to be starters for at least a decade.

Fuss is going to hard to replace...I guess they could address both problems in the draft but it's tough to get forwards out of the draft and depend on them right away. Lowdown did a scoring breakdown by Allocated, Free Agent, Sup Draft, College Draft and Discovery. The group with the lowest goal total was college draft.

This is how in my opinion, those who signed for the CRS this season and their options will work out for 2014:

    Coming back for sure:
    Leslie Osborne
    Lori Chalupny
    Ella Masar
    Jen Hoy
    Zakia Bywaters
    Rachel Quon
    Taryn Hemmings
    Jackie Santacaterina
    Julianne Sitch
    Michelle Wenino
    Taylor Vancil

    More then likely:
    Erin Mcleod
    Lydia Vandenbergh
    Alyssa Mautz
    Adriana Leon

    Possible/Not sure:
    Dinara Garza
    Maribel Dominguez
    Amy Lepielbet

    Definitely NOT coming back:
    Sonya Fuss
    Inka Grings
Shannon Boxx (I just don't see how)

Sonya Fuss really organized our defense back there. Her impact was felt immediately.
She will be missed very much.

Marshall and Cameron, they are CB's right?

The CRS could perhaps use one of them.

Still haven't got the slightest clue how the Seattle trade is going to turn out. We'll find out in a couple weeks but it won't be Rapinoe or Solo, doesn't look like it'll be Rodriguez, would they send back Winters? We're getting someone.

Well even tho it doesnt work for league rules, the best deal might be for Chicago to take Cuellar. Seattle needs Winters and Chicago has Osborne and Boxx. Cuellar would be an off book player, would give them some more speed up top, but mostly I think pairing her with Maribel Dominguez would be huge for her. Cuellar seems to have some problems and Dominguez might be just the role model to keep her on the straight and narrow.

Yes, they do. Teams own the rights to drafted players until the end of next season.
