My new year's resolution as a fan of Houston sports is, of course, winning championships for our hometown teams and also bringing back hockey in Houston (hopefully the Aeros in the NHL).

 

So the Texans hired a new coach.

Honestly I couldn't care less about how fiery he is. Can he put a game plan together, make adjustments, and hold players accountable?

 

The real question is if the GM can.

 

My mission is to go to at least one Dynamo game this year, and maybe, maybe an Astros game (despite not being a big baseball fan.)

Been to 4 Rockets games 3-1 (Lucky ass bounce by Durant in tat playoff game ruined my streak.) and have been to one Texans game 1-0 against the Jags.

 

Texans still undefeated in 2014!

 

A coworker has Rockets season tickets so he can't go to all the games so every once in a while he will give us some games or invites us to go with him. As for Texans the manager who used to be there and his friend would have at least 2 games each where they would be for whoever they wanted to bring and I was invited to one.

A guy invited me to a Dynamo game but I can't stand the guy, plus his hygiene is terrible he lets out a funk that makes me teary eyed. I have been looking at getting tickets just have to request days off for them. As for Astros my sister could score some tickets herself she has the last couple of times from her school.

 

Watching South Carolina i wouldnt mind see Connor Shaw picked up by the texans in the 5th round or so.
I think the guy could be a sleeper.

 

This draft will be make it or break for Rick Smith now that they don't have Kubiak to blame.

 

I already thought everyone was agreed that he was broken?

 

Yeah but not our owner.

 

Among the minority owners there was also not a consensus on Rick Smith, from what I understand.

Keeping score, the Texans have 3 head coaches in 12 years, while Toronto FC have 8 head coaches in 7 years.

I made one little comment about Alabama's '92 National Championship season and I got immediately surrounded by 3 Alabama dudes in Chattanooga Tennessee circa October of 1995. Those people are looney over their team! Yet you can say something about their grandmother and nothing...but say something about 'Bama gridiron and it's on! Wierd folk.

This could be the year the SEC reign is over if Auburn loses to Florida St.
