wow plenty of injury time thrills in group D... basically Iran have already won the group with 6 pts, and play Syria with 2 while Qatar and Saudi on 1 point each play in the other game. Basically, a win for Syria puts them through, but anything less and a win for either Qatar or Saudi puts them out.... Syria are 2-1 up while Saudi score a late goal to go a goal up in the other game.. then 5 minutes into injury time, Iran score what would have been the equalizer to put Syria out, but the goal is disallowed for offside, seconds later Qatar get a last second equalizer to basically eliminate both themselves and Saudi Arabia ... so anyhoo the quarterfinals are set:

    South Korea vs. Japan
    Australia vs. Malaysia
    Uzbekistan vs. Syria
    Iran vs. North Korea

all matches to be played on Sept 14th...

    Semifinals today:

    South Korea 7-1 Syria
North Korea 0-0 Australia (4-1 pens)

so that means the final is.....

    South Korea vs. North Korea

My prediction for the final winner is..... Korea!

So there's the final: North Korea 2-1 South Korea....

So the winner is North Korea... not the first time they've beat out their neighbors from the south in something recently.....
