I am not sure when Afghanistan can send a team. AFC invited Afghanistan to send a team for the last 3 years, but AFF has not responded.

Draws normally done around this time (early March to mid March). I'm sure news will start filtering through.

CERES-LA SALLE FC, champion of the 2013 PFF-Smart Club National Championship, will play host to the AFC President’s Cup 2014 Group Stage on May 1 to 11.
The hosting assignment was confirmed by Negros Occidental Football Association General-Secretary Paulline Javelona.
Other clubs hosting the Group Stage are the Erchim FC of Mongolia and the Sri Lanka Air Force SC of Sri Lanka.
The official draw will be held on March 28 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
    .

Eleven clubs will participate in the AFC President’s Cup 2014 Group Stage which will be divided into two groups of four clubs each and one group of three clubs.

The clubs are the Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra Limited (Bangladesh), Ugyen Academy FC (Bhutan), Svayrieng FC (Cambodia), Tatung Company (Chinese Taipei), Rimyongsu Club (DPR Korea), Manang Marshyangdi Club (Nepal), KRL Football Club (Pakistan), FC HTTU (Turkmenistan), and hosts Erchim FC (Mongolia), Sri Lanka Air Force SC (Sri Lanka) and Ceres-La Salle FC of the Philippines.
    Mode of competition

The 11 clubs shall be divided into two groups of four clubs each and one group of three clubs. Each group shall play a one-round league, where each club in the group shall play one match against every other club.
The top two clubs in each group will qualify to the “final stage” and will be grouped in two with three clubs each playing in one centralized venue on September 22 to 28. The winner of each group will advance to play the final.

THERE’s no definite schedule yet for Bacolod games in the forthcoming May 1-11 AFC President’s Cup 2014 Group Stage, said Cyril Dofitas, tournament committee head of the Philippine Football Federation.
"At this point, no schedule yet for the Bacolod. We will let you know if there is,” the official said.
Earlier reports indicated that Bacolod-based Ceres-La Salle FC, the back-to-back PFF-Smart Club National Championship titlist, will be one of the hosts based on the communication furnished by Negros Occidental Football Association general-secretary Paulline Javelona.

Group of Death is Group B. Tough draw for that group which includes debutantes North Korea and perennial powers Turkmenistan(many of its national team players are on that club). My guess is the champion will come from this group.

Ah, so we have a SAFF Club Championship taking part in Group A!!!

SAFF want their own club championship, but their champions are all in Group A, makes interesting regional derbies for the qualifiers.

I'm intrigued to see how the Sri Lankan team will do on home soil.

With regards to Group C, this appears extremely poor. What this in effect will do is make one poor team enter the final stage where at this stage the number of goals scored will really count against them.

Looking forward to Group A, not too sure about Group B, i guess Tatung will struggle.

this year FC HTTU is very weaker side. Most players and technical staff of HTTU joined to Altyn Asyr FC . I won't be surprised if HTTU can't qualify from group..

Thanks for the info Galtaman. The North Korean team is still going to be the favorite and is going to be tough for everyone.
