Hain and Friend are rumored to be leaving. Nuemeyer is old and was only acquired for the amateur team. Vollmann is not a threat right now. Not pictured is Mike Ott. He's a young hopeful. Like Wood, Ott is half Asian (Philipino). Just to show how much a danger Neumeyer is, they gave Osako his number.
Pictures of Osako... http://www.abendzeitung-muenchen.de...ewe.d67492d1-45a5-4195-acde-768c34ddfde3.html
I was reading up and noticed that about Neumeyer...what's the reasoning behind getting an old guy for the amateurs? I understand you might want an experienced veteran on the pitch to give the team some structure...but it could also block a younger player. Though if a "prospect" is too old for the U19/U21s but can't beat out a guy like that, that's another problem.
He's treated like the global star he is, I see. That won't diminish the disappointement but good to see.
soo, anyone willing to translate something from the conference? If there was something interesting, I mean
It seemed pretty dry. I did pick up that the club rated Osako's personality as a player who treats both teammates and staff with respect...and they asked him what he knew about Munich, and he answered that he didn't know anything lol. I think the questions were pretty generic in any case. Also re: the risks of a transfer prior to the World Cup, he remarked that "I don't want to stop moving. I need to find an environment to keep on growing as a footballer."
Short answer is that we had many players from last year's amateur team move on to other teams or up to our pro team. A stop gap measure was to sign Neumeyer. You can have 3 over 23 players on your roster. Aygün is another older player on that roster.

There is another aspect about 1860 and no. 18. One of the most beloved non-German strikers was Paul Agostino who is still hailed "Fußballgott!" today. Scored the hope-bringing 1-2 at Leeds when 1860, yes that's true, played CL qualification. If 1860 was an MLB team the 18 would be a retired number. So, it's an honor to wear that number from a fan's pov.
Here are 50+ photos of his first training session below. When joining the club they usually put foreign nationals through a German study class. If you can pick up Japanese you can easily pick up German. I know Vallori, the captain, will do everything he can to make him feel welcome. He speaks a few languages and knows what it is like to play away from home. I have also heard that the Japanese community in Muenchen is planning a few events for Osako. http://www.abendzeitung-muenchen.de...lse.f81131db-8a52-49cf-be8b-aa8ca1e2c903.html
He seems like a shy character but got along with both Japanese and Brazilian teammates well enough. He should be fine.
I am really hoping to see Yuya Osako and Kakitani develop into top class strikers in Europe. They have the talent but do they have the mental strength ? We will find out in the next 2 years. Hopefully at least one of the two makes it big.
Naw. A little saki and a Benadryl and you can sleep in First Class pretty damn well. It's nicer than my first apartment.
