Maybe it'll a last minute thing? Seriously, what does have Omar have to do get called up for qualifiers? Play goalie and attack along with defending? Magee does that and there can only be one Mike Magee.

Maybe he'll be at the Super Bowl w/AJ today...short flight to Miami after that!

I don't know if you are joking but the AJ superbowl thing was a joke.

As a Galaxy fan i'd rather Omar not get called up, we don't need him to miss any games.

As a USMNT fan I think it's pretty questionable to not call him up.

His twitter has gone silent, which I'm going to take as a good sign.

    Yes indeed congrats. Way overdue!

But I'm guessing he won't play unless there is an injury to Boca or Cameron. Think Klinsmann will go with experience for this tough away game.

Sigh of relief about Omar on the roster. I hope he gets the chance to play, hey, it could happen. Maybe he'll score a header goal off a Brad Davis corner.

I'm relieved and excited that Gonzo got the call. Hopefully this is the beginning of a great career on the National Team for him.

Gotta say I am a little disappointed that Landon wasn't called in - I KNOW it's crazy, but I held out a faint hope that with him being in New Orleans he would have just hopped a flight on over to Miami.

    Landon, dude, you're killing me.

    No Beckerman?!?!?

If he's not injured Klinsmann has done a lot to win me back over. :)

LD was at the Super Bowl? I didn't know he went...googled it and couldn't find anything.

Twitter is a wonderful thing! I just did a random search - somebody posted a picture meeting LD as they walk in. Then various tweets from others about seeing him there/meeting him/sitting beside him.

VERY excited for Gonzo. Even if he sees no playing time, he's finally in the door. Yay!

    Lineup Predictions?
    GK: Howard
    D: Chandler, Cameron, Boca, Johnson
    M: Dempsey, Bradley, Jones, Williams
    F: Gomez, Altidore

I think Cameron is a lock for one of the starting CB positions. Not so sure about Boca. Of course, I'd like to see Omar there, but Klinsmann seems to rate Gonzo and Besler evenly.
Also, idk about Williams. Edu might start in his place. But I think Jurgen will go with Danny since he's gotten more playing time recently.

Just cause Omar is one of my favorite players (and is on the Galaxy), I hope he starts. But from what I've read, the general consensus is that Boca is the better fit for this game. People have been saying that this road game (especially in rowdy Honduras) is not the place to give Omar his first competitive national team start.

Yeah, people are more comfortable with Boca starting because of his experience.
