Weekly Update: Tucson Revs travel to Tucson for two-week trip; will participate in FC Tucson Desert Diamond Cup February 11, 2013 Revolutionsoccer.net Training Camp Roster, Feb 11, 2013 Twenty-six players, plus 3 non-rostered.
The weather is absolute shit (by Tucson standards) at the moment. It won't start warming up until Thursday.
What does that mean, 65 degrees? Better get out the parka.... Actually it was at Disneyland in Anehiem where I saw people wearing the kind of coat we might wear in March/October weather at night in July. I was wearing shorts and a T-shirt and I was maybe a little chilly, since the "desert air gets colder after the sun goes down" out there.
Cameron Brown and Nermin Crnkic added to the Training Camp Roster: http://www.revolutionsoccer.net/sites/newengland/files/021513_Roster.pdf
Revs played a closed-door scrimmage against USL-Pro side Phoenix FC last night. Final score was 4-1 Revs. Imbongo scored twice (once off a PK drawn by trialist Nermin Crnkic), and Latigue and Nyassi each had a single goal. Match featured players who didn't play significant minutes against New York. Farrell played centerback, Latigue on the left. That's about as much info that I could find. Must be something they're trying to keep under wraps by not releasing a full lineup and wrap-up.
As part of MLSSoccer.com's Season Preview series, Kyle McCarthy forecasts the 2013 Depth Chart: New England Revolution According to him, Fagundez is a starter, while Reis, Alston, McCarthy and Rowe are not. I think people need to keep in mind that Heaps is still trying out players and trying out combinations. There's probably a very loose correlation between how we're playing now and how we'll play when the season starts. Maybe for the final game in this thing Heaps will play what he thinks his regular season lineup is going to be.
Not to mention we're a week behind other teams because we're the only team without a match in week one.
