My picks: AAC: Louisville ACC: Florida State Big 12: Oklahoma Big Ten: Nebraska CUSA: Eastern Carolina MAC: Kent State MWC (my league): Fresno State Pac 12: Oregon SEC: Georgia Sun Belt: Arkansas State BCS Title game: Georgia over Oregon Orange Bowl: Notre Dame over Florida State Rose Bowl: Stanford over Nebraska Fiesta Bowl: Oklahoma over Fresno State Sugar Bowl: Alabama over Stanford
Of the conferences that matter, here are my picks. Pac-12: Stanford Big Ten: Ohio State SEC: Alabama Big 12: Oklahoma The B(C)S pageant will be Alabama v. Ohio State and the Buckeyes will prove themselves once again to be paper tigers.
Not in any serious way. Was a child in Boise so I sort of root for the Broncos, still not in any serious way... I cdertainly appreciated the Joe Morrison years.
WHOA NELLIE! Season kicks off tonight. I have 'Bama until someone else proves they can out-recruit & out-coach Saban. Here's lookin at you, Urban Meyer!
Saban doesn't have to recruit- he's got a whole community of people who want to play SEC ball when they grow up... I'm half kidding, but being at Bama makes his job a lot easier than his last school stop, wherever it was. Ohio State is 1/3 (paper tigers) in the B(C)S title game.
The ESPN announcer in the Penn State Syracuse game did a promo for the upcoming TCU versus whomever they are playing (LSU) and called them the Horny Frogs. I wonder if some guy with a sense of humor wrote that copy.
Va. Tech have one of the ugliest jerseys I have ever seen. It's a light beige or off white that looks like an old white shirt that is no longer bright and white. It looks filthy. Yuck. Couple of observations. Ohio State is clearly overrated. Alabama is not 35-10 better than the Hokies. Take away the three big plays by Christon and it's a 14-10 Bama lead.
Huh? Take away Uncle's dick and he becomes Auntie. Those three big plays are what separates Bama's athletes from VaTech's students. The jerseys really are ugly.
It's happened before- hell, they won the ACC under Friedgen in 2001. But I get what youre saying- I don't know what the hell Maryland wants to be, either. Splitting bigtime time between football and basketball makes them mediocre at both. They last won the NCAA title in 2002, and that's the only one they have. In fact, unless you're counting stuff like lax, soccer or maybe golf, none of the ACC programs have done much outside basketball.
Considering I had to endure watching a game live against Towson last year, a blowout against a minnow like FIU is even a sign of improvement. Towson moved the ball at will all game and gift wrapped the ball to us once they got in the redzone. We've had bad seasons before under the Fridge, but last year was the worst I've seen us play in some time. Everything that could go wrong went wrong last year. Basketball is another story, but yes, we now have become mediocre there as well. It's all about the Benjamins now for the Maryland AD. It's pretty sad because this area is fairly rich in recruits for football and especially basketball, but we can't attract anyone worthwhile lately. We have to be content with being considers by those twins before they chose Kentucky for basketball.
my god, USC just lost at home to Washington St 10-7. It was the worst coached games I've ever seen by the coach of USC. My friend tells me his name is Bozo the Kiffin. What a terrible name for a parent to give a child. No wonder he is so terrible at everything he does.
I want Kiffin fired. He sucks. I don't want to wait another year. Regardless of the sanctions previously imposed under Carroll, Kiffin has done a poor job.
A win when they should have lost (Miami), a loss when they should have won (Florida) and a loss when they should have been playing in the Poulan Weed-Eater bowl (LSU).
I can't stop laughing... I didn't know you had any interest in USC football. Yeah, he needs to be gone. Every time I think about the fact that they could have gotten Tuberville instead, I get angry.
My favorite remains Anthony Touchdown Davis scoring six touchdowns and leading the Trojans over hated Nuestra Mierda.
Next is Reggie Bush pushing Mat Leinart across the goal line for the game winning touchdown against the F'ing Irish. I hate the Irish and all their subway so called alumni. Fair weather fans where have they been for the past ten years?
