While today is important, it's also the most overrated day on the MLS calendar. The key for today is not necessarily getting superstars, but cheap depth guys or a future starter who starts during his rookie contract term. GA status helps as well

Bad, bad idea to have supporters at the Superdraft. What a bunch of jackasses.

Semi-serious question: Are there any Chicago chants that don't simply involve the word "fire" repeated over and over?

    I predict a Mexican-American is picked next.

Ha, just saw the facts about Vancouver on the feed. They say they need midfield and forwards. Didn't Vancouver have like half their roster full of forwards this past season?

Does this mean that Omar Salgado could be available?

Their defense was actually pretty solid last year. DeMerit is a stud by MLS standards when healthy.

If I remember correctly they let go of Lee Nguyen because they didn't have room for him in their midfield.

Couldn't disagree with this more. The quality of a selection in these drafts make or break teams and franchises. Sure for the Dynamo, their success next year won't hinge on who they pick today. Obviously.

How different are the last three years in the league if in 2009, Toronto FC takes Omar Gonzalez and Chris Pontius instead of Sam Cronin and O'Brien White respectively?

I've seen some speculation that Mikey Lopez, the midfielder from UNC, may still be around when we're up. He sounds like an attacking mid. Is that right?

Either Lopez or Jason Johnson will be available, if not both, both are GA.
