Right, because SKC has a complex template. Your jerseys have fringe and buttons and flaps and bra straps because your club wants them. Don't blame adidas
Yes. The team says "This is roughly what we're looking for" and adidas puts it to their templates, and then there's back and forth. There's significantly more leeway for what adidas might consider "Real Brands". Think of it like World Cup jerseys. All African nations can ask for is different colors, but England will wear whatever they want.
Puma is a good example. They do many of the African nations and some European nations, including Italy. In 2006 and to a lesser extent in 2010 every Puma team at the WC had the same template, except Italy. Italy had its own template that matched their historical look.
I never noticed that before! This has to be one of the Top 10 worst kits for a premier national team.
Ignoring the fact your avatar is the flag of the mythical nation of Cascadia, I'm sure you have no nationalistic tendencies at all .
That Italy kit ranks up there with the Newcastle 2009-2010 secondary kit as one of the worst all time.
Just met with Adidas in LA prior to the match to see the first 2014 #NERevs jersey prototypes, think fans will like the kit. #tease— Brian Bilello (@RevsPrez) December 1, 2012
I talked to a person affiliated with the Union on Saturday. He said the new third kit is amazing. I was told that it will feature a "retro" Bimbo logo on the front. I asked if it would be white, and he said he could not tell me, but then offered it is kind of the "opposite of white". So logically, I am guessing BLACK.
I think that the Sounders are going to obviously keep their rave green, but they only wore their shake once this year in the Open Cup so I can't see them keeping the shale. I think they will go back to a darker blue like what they had in 2009-2010.
