too bad the actual academy crest has the KIA logo under it. although they're giving us a boatload money to run the youth academy, so they can pretty much do whatever they want. ugh. every single year. every single damn year i come to these threads and i see at least a couple dozen beautiful, creative, unique kits that the MLS clubs would never adopt. it's kinda depressing.
The SKC team pretty much said that they were going to try and do something just like that design, so in this case you should at least be a little optimistic.
I like the idea more than I like the design, especially thinking about it as an actual shirt, that has to move and distort with movement
I think a lot of people forget that the "state line" is already in the current uniforms design too, its just very subtle.... I would just make it a little more noticeable... 2 tone it like the timbers current jerseys and I think it would make people happy.... excuse the rough mockups:
Very cool mockups. I like them more than the other design. However, that second one looks a little too close to RSL's current jersey. I like the design, but I think it would bring up the whole "Adidas is just reusing templates" argument.
I'm really disliking any that go with this basic idea. Personally, I think it looks awful. I actually quite like their 2012 jerseys, in spite of how plain they are.
I remember playing FIFA 2004 and I played a match against the Wizards. Their secondary jersey was really great and it would fit their current colors very well. Do any of the SKC fans remember that kit? I can't find a picture of it
I say to you, do nothing to reduce, besmirch, or in any way lessen my endeavor to use "chinny chin chin" in an internet post. It must stand, alone and unquestioned, for all to marvel at. Begone!
I'm sure if Chivas had fans, they'd be chiming in, very upset with their enflamed secondary logo and the abuse it's taking
Fair enough. "Chinny chin chin" is far to underutilized in modern society. Well yeah. I'm pretty sure the rough translation of "Chivas USA" is "bitch about something stupid and inconsequential."
No, that's the translation of Seattle Sounders. Unknown to most the name actually comes from a rare Salish dialect.
