So maybe Frankie could try that from the start of the game.....a more offensive lineup.....

I would play Nyarko on left midfield. He can play both sides or forward.

tough to say if he's better than Nyarko from seeing just a few clips. But I always liked Nyarko closer to goal better than him on the wing.

From the clips, he's shoots the balls 1,000 times better than Nyarko will ever shoot....

He had a respectable amount of goals with Legia in '09. Then was loaned to
ŁKS Łódź who were relegated to the 2nd division. Still around the same amount of output with them too. I think he's on loan again this season. He's young. Why not?

EDIT: Nevermind he's back with Legia now. 7 goals in 14 games too this season. His services may be a tad costly. Let's get him.

Well like I said transfermarkt says he is available on a free this summer. Does anyone know how well the Polish league pays? It would be great to bring in a talented young European player who also has strong Fire roots. Kinda a best of both worlds.

Sure, Nyarko can't shoot with his right foot, how much worse can his left foot be?

That being said, I would love to have Kosecki the younger with the Fire.

Most of the teams in the Ekstraklasa don't have much money to throw around. This kid will most likely have interest from the Bundesliga very soon if he keeps scoring like this after the winter break ends.

technically we could offer him a DP contract after Jan. 1st for a pre-contract deal right?

DP money would be high risk but this might be a situation where we would have to offer that to have a chance to land him. Like I said above if he keeps scoring like he has I guarantee the Bundesliga will come calling. (See: Robert Lewandowski, Artjoms Rudņevs both Lech Poznań products)

My thoughts exactly when i saw this posted last night, the Fire's competition would come from German not Polish clubs. But a transfer to Chicago could be a very shrewd career move. His chances for starting, contributing, and thriving are likely more immediate with the Fire then even a lower Bundesliga club.A couple succesful MLS seasons added to his resume from Poland will open up doors across Europe.I dont think going the German route will offer this up as quick as the competition is stiffer.

Strike Gargan off the list. He's off to the Quakes. I know some disagree, but I don't mind that he's gone. As long as the Fire at least have targets in mind already for a new RB. Whether they see someone special coming in the draft, or through scouting, Anibaba, even if Frank thinks he is the starter, cannot be our only RB. Especially since he's our only CB cover too

I'd expect them to try to get a relatively cheap backup RB at most. I assume Anibaba will still start and we still have Kinney if he's ever injury free.

We already have two relatively cheap backup RBs: Walls and Kinney.

I think the Kosecki window was open last year and is now closed shut, the kid is now eyeing Bundesliga and beyond.

Król is at Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała, his teammate Ireneusz Jeleń has announced he is opting out of his contract, reportedly the Fire and the Crew are in the hunt for his services.

Interesting tidbit: I believe Kosecki played for Legia in our 3-0 loss to them in the Sister Cities Tournament back in 2010.

What happened to his scoring touch the last few seasons? He had quite a few goals with Auxerre. Was he injured at Lille?

Lucio just terminated his contract with Juve...rumors are he is looking at the Bundesliga, but could always try for him. Would provide some seriously good CB depth, rotating with Arne, which would allow two old guys to keep healthy and rested for the whole season...

Any word on the progress and plans for thr Fire Homegrowns, Pineda and Gulley? I tried to keep up with Pineda last year while playing for the reserves and it seemed he made some very nice progress and could be a weapon for us off the bench this season, while not real sure on Gulley. Just wondering if any thoughts or news on either.
