I would hope they did it before the trades if not then Klopas has a DM fetish. And oh yeah it had to have been Arne's suggestion, I wish he could convince maybe Podolski to come over and play striker for us haha
@JefeCrandall Good news coming this afternoon. #cf97 Doesn't give us much time to wildly speculate...
MLS cancelled the 2013 season (All games will be exhibition games) and made the Chicago FIRE Champions.
No. The good news was that there would be a stream for the game against FGCU this weekend. However, the Fernandez loan is now official.
What about Brek Shea? http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2013/01/25/starting-xi-no-easy-answers-young-talents-adu-shea Looks he's done in F*C* Dallas, I believe he's a LM, that would solve our LM postion. How about this starting 11 ------MacDonald--------Rolfe------ ------------------Lindpere------------ ---Shea---------------------Nyarko--- ---------------Larentowicz------------- -Segares-Berry--Friedrich-Anibaba- ----------------Johnson---------------- Players the choose form to make the bench:Tornaghi (will be the back up), Alex, Oduro, Santos, Paladini, Bone, Gulley, Jumper, Kinney, Pineda, Thompson, Videria, Walls and Pause
Dont expect an announcement on that supposed left mid from Europe.Just heard from a source that it is Luke Boden, who is in camp as a trialist. He spent last year with Orlando City-his "top flight" football was with Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship (16 appearences). He can play anywhere along the left side , and he supposedly is a pretty "big lad" for a winger. Not a big name but young and someone who may have a legitimate shot at the roster. He will take up a International slot though.
I have been thinking about this for the past week or so, as the debates about the left midfield position have heated up, with the departure of Fernandez (not a great loss at this point), and I think Ben may have mentioned in another thread. Why not Beasley returning to the Fire? Proven Fire player? Check International experience? Check Has played at the highest levels (World Cup, Champions League)? Check Plays attacking soccer, but can track back as well? Check He has dropped off of the UNMNT radar a bit, but returning to MLS would certainly improve that, I think. Yes, he would have to be a Designated Player, I am sure, especially as he is under contract with Puebla, but he would solve so many problems for the Fire, on and off of the field. His transfermarkt value is 800,000 pounds, which is possible, although we know how much MLS (and, presumably, Andrew) dislikes paying for any player. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/damarcus-beasley/mwverlaufgraph/spieler_20584.html
Beasley would probably be subject to allocation. He has, what, 80 USMNT caps? We got a transfer fee for him when he went to Holland.
If for some reason Shea is not in ******** Dallas' plans I think we should pursue him. Though I have a feeling we'd have to give up too much to get him. I'd actively pursue Beasley too. It'd be really nice to see him in Fire red again and he'd solve a lot of question marks on the left side of our midfield.
yep, looks like it http://aol.sportingnews.com/soccer/...-adu-to-return-to-mls-join-philadelphia-union And we'd be pretty low down on the allocation order, meaning we'd probably have to give up quite a bit to get him, assuming he'd go through allocation
Fire officially confirmed that Puppo has been loaned to LDU Quito in Ecuador for the whole year... "This move allws Federico consistent playing time and an opportunity to play in the Copa Liberatodores qualifies. We will continue to monitor his progress while he is in Ecuador."-Petrei Why are we keeping him on the books at all?
Can someone explain to me why every MLS club seems to have a "relationship" with LDU Quito in Ecuador? What is up with that?
