Sack is just the head of the snake, you cut it off and they will just replace it with another just like him, if you are talking about ownership I think they ONLY view this as a money making investment and nothing more.

I'm not sure if this should be viewed as a positive.

If the team has another few bad years, the money won't be coming in. They need to get their shit fixed even if they are just in it for the money.

    Expectations:
BS boards to be filled with pissin and moanin after a loss (from pretty much all of us)
    Obnoxious NJPC fans
Crew fans not playing duck duck goose at their tailgate
    Adu on a milk carton
Cruz scoring at least one nice goal (maybe two) and everyone still saying he shouldn't start
Le Toux running around for 90 minutes a game, sometimes appearing to be lost
Le Toux to get his first yellow card (probably for diving)
Mac, Hoff, twins, Cruz or Lahoud getting straight red
Le Toux to take all PKs and bury them
Cruz hitting a shot over TRE
To have an overwhelming desire to scream Doop!

I don't care what results come this season, I'm just excited soccer is almost back! Anybody with me?

Let me rephrase that, if we're still bad, I'll be upset...but at least soccer is back!!

When? I didn't hear about before and I just checked his MLS stat page and it didn't list one. I think I recall him getting carded in preseason last year but that is a little foggy to me.

I expect lines for beer will be long the first month or so but by summer,as the fortunes of the team decline/ the lines will be approx 35 percent shorter.......

we finish 7th....early exit from the osoc

I guess you are not getting any joy out of the Champions League, or any of the foreign leagues... Rather watch one of those games in a great soccer bar such as TNN or the Cross Bar in Havertown than sitting thru agony at PPL.

I love European soccer, and I've been enjoying the Champions League. (Go Shakhtar) But since I live in America, I can't go easily go to a European game. There's a big difference between actually going to the game and watching from thousands of miles away, at least for me. I love them both, but in different ways. Plus in 9 days, we'll have both!!

I have some fiendish like for Shakhtar and it is probably because of all the Brazilians they have on the squad. My favorite league is the Brasilieirao because defense is optional and the game is flowing at all times. I love it. When in Brazil, I would rather watch the games on TV in a botequim in Rio, rather than go to the games. Not exactly a wise idea if you are a gringo, unless you are in a tour group. Going with a bunch of Japanese tourists in a tour group to the Maracana is quite an experience.

    don't be Ruud.........

    I expect increased alcohol consumption.
I also think this midfield can only play bucket....so I expect to see a lot of bucket.

    Defend
    Counter
hope to eke out enough low scoring wins to qualify.
    Hope to get hot.

    * If they can improve in the air, if Hackworth would actually use his talent optimally-and enough players learn their roles and get comfortable quick enough-they can make the post-season again even on a shoestring budget.

or it all blows apart.................and I Grafite their office walls..............

You will need a bucket of alcohol when Hack plays his 3 d-mid special. Hack's 4-5-1 is a cure for insomnia. I expect to spend many nights watching half of a Union away game before dozing off in my recliner, then waking up to see we lost 1-0.

It was in the Canadian Championship game: http://www.whitecapsfc.com/news/2012/05/acc-final. (Disclosure: I had no real recollection of it but I asked my nine year old who knows everything and he immediately provided full details of the game.)

The Canadian Championship. Which probably meant he wasn't courteous enough instead of an actual foul.

I'm calling it now: everyone is overrating Sebastian. Despite playing a ridiculous number of minutes, he will put up average MLS striker numbers.

For average pay. I'll take it. Average MLS Striker numbers will add about 5 more goals than we had last year.

Do we discount assists? I think with him and Casey as the primary forwards that Casey will have more goals but Le Toux is going to be close to double digit assists.

I still think Seba will be underwhelming.

I think for the season opener PPL will only be 80% full and that many of the season games will struggle big time. This is based on the fact that the Union still pumps tons of money into advertising on TV for the opener (saying single seats, etc. are still available). Quite sad... Hope I am wrong. The ad is actually quite good.
