We have 13 national TV games, 7 of those are home games. UniMas makes up a good chunk of the games.

    UniMas - 5 games (4 home)
    ESPN2 - 3 games (0 home)
    NBCSN - 3 games (2 home)
    ESPN - 1 game (1 home)
    NBC - 1 game (0 home)

I am glad Unimas is mostly home games; my Spanish is not good enough to watch more than one of those games on that channel. :)

At least TeleFutura aka UniMas comes in better than Galavision. That was pretty much unwatchable.

Ha, ha. Of course. There are 25 league games on UniMas. 12 of them involve Chivas USA. And that is the entirety of Chivas USA's national tv schedule.

    Most national TV games:
    New York - 19
    LA Galaxy - 17
    Chicago - 16
    Seattle - 14
    Houston - 13
    Kansas City - 13
    Portland - 13

Those seven teams account for 105 of the possible 174 national slots. The other 12 teams in the league get 69 slots.

I am not sure if you are aware of this, but I am a white-skinned individual. As such, when it comes to being in the sun from the spring equinox to the start of fall, I am sensitive to sun exposure.

Look, May thru September 1 is brutal on a normal sunny day. April and September can be better but you can still get very hot and toasted in the sun. March/October, less so and more likely to have a really nice day. I understand TV considerations, but if you are going to do day games, do them in March and October.

Canetti should have just said, "it's our stadium so we can control start times for games, unless TV wants something different, then I have no stroke"

Sporting, NY and then at DC to end the year.

That will be tough if we end up needing the points. I expect these teams to be pretty good this year, especially Sporting and DC.

    Two things:

    1. The MLS All-Star game has been confirmed for Wednesday, July 31 in Kansas City. Opponent to be announced.

    2. I was noticing that the Dynamo have a couple of games during the FIFA breaks this year. I figured it was like last year when there were a small number of MLS games during those breaks. So I looked at the whole league. Not the case at all. MLS does not play on the same day as any of the qualifiers but that's all you can say. There are 38 league games scheduled during the FIFA breaks.
The March and September windows were pretty much ignored with almost full league slates stuck in between the qualifiers.

FIFA international match days, March 22-26
    Friday, March 22 - 3 CONCACAF qualifiers
    Saturday, March 23 - 7 MLS games
    Sunday, March 24 - 1 MLS game
    Tuesday, March 26 - 3 CONCACAF qualifiers

FIFA international match days, June 7-11
    Friday, June 7 - 3 CONCACAF qualifiers
    Saturday, June 8 - 4 MLS games
    Tuesday, June 11 - 3 CONCACAF qualifiers

FIFA international match days, June 14-18
    Saturday, June 15 - 5 MLS games
    Tuesday, June 18 - 2 CONCACAF qualifiers
    Wednesday, June 19 - 4 MLS games

FIFA international match days, September 6-10
    Friday, September 6 - 3 CONCACAF qualifiers
    Saturday, September 7 - 6 MLS games
    Sunday, September 8 - 3 MLS games
    Tuesday, September 10 - 3 CONCACAF qualifiers

FIFA international match days, October 11-15
    Friday, October 11 - 3 CONCACAF qualifiers
    Saturday, October 12 - 3 MLS games
    Sunday, October 13 - 1 MLS game
    Tuesday, October 15 - 3 CONCACAF qualifiers

Too many breakdowns of the schedule. Just give me March 2nd and let's start winging it.

Why are we exited about less super hot games? We are fans we can deal with it, other teams struggle. It gives us an advantage so I am all for hot games.

New radio home for the Dynamo. I'll admit that I'm not very good at differentiating between the Houston sports talk radio stations but my perception is that this is the lowest rated station.

It doesn't really matter to me so long as it streams. I've only had to listen to one game on the radio ever, but Glenn's shows need to be streamed or a lot of people can't hear them.

The shows also need to be available on iTunes so that they're accessible there and on podcast apps (iCatcher, Stitcher, etc.). Making the show available on podcast on iTunes allows people to download on their mobiles and listen whenever and wherever they can. Just posting the podcast on the station's website isn't as helpful. You can't listen to those postings on many mobile devices.

Speaking as an individual who is classified as a Type II on the Fitzpatrick Scale, would you be willing to join in a class action lawsuit to prevent this kind of obvious discrimination against those of us who have a genetic disposition toward burning under these daytime playing conditions?

You're right, and one other thing... I just noticed this is the same station that the Keepers Notes show is on. It streams nicely, but I don't think it has an airplay option, which is a little annoying.

They are the lowest rated. I had read/heard that Clear Channel was looking to move the Astros games to 790 from 740, which would pinch some available times to be on 790.

Issue with 1560 is that the signal at night is not good to large parts of the area (same as most AM stations). 97.5 can be sketchy the further west you go (the tower I think is technically in Chambers County).

At the end of the day, it's probably a wash. Clear Channel seemed to support soccer fairly decent here in Houston the last 7-8 years, better than 610. Which would suprise most since Clear Channel is seen as a conservative Nazi company by many still today.

OK, I see the new STH pricing and ads on the Dynamo website and see this list as benefits:

Full-season ticket holders enjoy many benefits, including:
    • Playoff ticket priority: Access to tickets for all Dynamo MLS Cup home playoff games before the general public
    • Private events: Invitations to special season ticket holder events
    • Flexible ticket exchange program: Trade in tickets for games you cannot attend
    • Membership card: VIP card allows season ticket holders discounts at BBVA Compass Stadium, the adidas Dynamo team store and Dynamo sponsor locations

Once again, the VIP card is brought up as a "benefit" - does this actually exist is or is it just something the marketing folks put in every year and figure no one will cross-check to see if they actually issue them? I think I have seen this about every year, and recall getting maybe one card for an Adidas Store discount and another year the VIP card was the final ticket stub in the STH book.

Maybe they will issue them this year at a special STH event commemorating the founders' STH plaque at BBVA Compass Stadium :D, followed by an unveiling of the recently captured Mexican Fan Yetti who just gave up his FMF allegiance to follow MLS.

Last year they used the season ticket holder scarf as your discount card at the team store. Might not be an actual card but it serves the same purpose. If you want an actual card I'm sure The_Ponce can fix you up something on photoshop.

What type of VIP card are y'all looking at?! I'll photoshop anything. Do y'all want the background to include Rico kicking Pescadito? How about something along the lines as my credit card that has some crazy hooligans lighting smoke during the Dallas game? Just let me know...

    Hydro's Pupusa Truck
    Sir Nigel's Prawn Sandwich Shop
Westside's Political Correctness and Sensitivity Training Workshops

As a holder of Prawn Sandwich Brigade tickets I'm not impressed with the exchange policy.

The problem with this exchange program is that if you have tickets in a section that is sold out for season tickets, you'll get a ticket in another section. For example, if you're in section 105 the ticket cost is $90 and includes access to the club, but there are no available tickets in that section because it is completely sold out. You'll get a replacement ticket in a $40 section with no club access.

In my opinion you should get equal value for your trade in or 2 tickets at the $40.

Note to FAB - take care of this.

This is another one of those theoretical "benefits" that struggles to provide said benefits in practical terms. Usually, you can trade in tickets for a game and get back the same number for only 1 or 2 designated games (I thought it worked that way, maybe not), but if you are in certain sections or areas you won't get those same seats or equivalent seats.

It's a way to make folks feel that if they miss a game, they won't eat the cost of the tickets, but really it's about the FO not having to give any refunds or rebates for unused season tickets. I've never put much value on it at all.
