Not convinced at the Germany vs Italy argument, given that the Italians owned Germany at the Euro. As for New Zealand - yes, it would have been better, but they difference is negligible enough not to require mentioning.
Is every Uruguayan as proud as the ones found on this board? I've only met 1 personally, great guy but never fails to put up his 4 fingers signaling Uruguays past dominance, but he does it with humor so it's more charismatic than it is arrogant.
Well, you can make that argument about everyone then. Including Uruguay > Argentina and Tahiti > New Zealand. I disagree about it being negligible because its only an 8-team tournament. Tahiti will be involved in 25% of the group-stage games. So one rubbish team can have a significant impact on the overall quality of the tournament (25% of the games could end 10-nil....).
Well I meant for it to be more like the black man to win it for the first time in awhile, Shehata isn't exactly what I had in mind when I said that. Although I realize I could have worded it better.
