Don't bring the Fire into this thread. Your little spirited comment could simultaneously screw and doom the Blackhawks chances of winning a championship by saddling them with an association with the Fire. Scroomed. You a cubs fan too?
OK, normally I'm pretty hip to what images are used here, especially when there's a freakin' URL right on the damn image. But... Whisky Tango Foxtrot is THAT???
That was way too close at the end. Dominant in the first 2 periods, but the PK wasn't good today. Chance to tie the record start of 16 games without a regulation loss on Tuesday vs. Vancouver.
Forgot the game was on, and only saw the last 1:04 (from the start of the PP), hectic would be an understatement of how that game finished...
A lot of the 3rd period was like that after building a comfortable 3-0 lead. Too many dumb penalties, and 2 PP goals allowed, all leading up to that 6-4 PP for the last minute.
they need to stop looking for the extra pass on the breakaways and just shoot the puck. They wasted way too many man advantage breakaways
Yep. There was much cursing around my household. Take the icing for ********s sake. That said I really hope Hossa is alright though I'd keep him out at least a couple of games even if he's cleared. He just came back from a concussion injury. So again ******** Hansen I can't believe the officials missed that. Hopefully the league reviews that cheap shot and gives him at least a three games suspension.
Well, when I saw it real-time, I thought he was just reaching for the puck. Looked a lot more intentional on the replays. If taking him out of the game was just a precautionary measure and he's cleared, I don't see why you'd keep him out for any more games. Luckily there didn't seem to be much force behind the hit, though the length of time he stayed down is concerning.
As some one with two kids playing hockey, and seeing some of the cheap, high shots that are starting to occur at the Squirt and Pee Wee levels, I hope for more. These shots to the head have to stop. Concussions are cumulative and, to me, it is completely unacceptable that a player would purposely go through his head from behind. I hope I'm wrong, but I think Hossa might be out for a while. The Torres hit was bad and he deserved a 25 game suspension. But Marion has to take some of the blame himself for cruising across the middle of the neutral zone with his head down. Had Torres stayed on his skates, it would have still been a devastating hit, but probably a legal one. THIS however, is a completely defenseless player getting whacked in the head from behind with an elbow. I'd love to see a 10 game suspension, but it will never happen. I'm also looking for a little justice to be dished out next time we play them. Hurry back Dan Carcillo.
Carcillo is just about ready and the Trib said he should be back before the end of the homestand. Bollig did a good job of providing a tough guy presence last night. The one thing that has bothered me in the post Cup winning playoffs has been the lack of toughness, we discussed this before, and I hope they do something to change that. Mayers going after Torres was a good start, now we need to go after Jansson for that hit on Hossa last night. Or put some extra hard hits on other teams top players, but make them legal.
Yep. I wouldn't mind seeing one of the Sedin sisters limping off after a brutal, but legal hit next time around. It's fine to go after Hanson, but if you really want to stop this, you rough up one (or more) of their stars. It's the Chicago way.
