Turns out Hiroki Kawano, the FC Tokyo player that - as rumors said - could end up in Sabadell with Tanabe, already made some training sessions back in March. http://www.marca.com/2013/06/27/fut...b16cbbcb62a8d777082d55c3c20744ea&t=1387838220 Sorry if you already knew, but I didn't realize until now that he was the one who came with Tanabe months ago.
Sabadell taking on FC Tokyo's benchwarmers. Should send all our youngsters going to J-League to FC Tokyo.
Seeing the level that the current squad has reached recently, I doubt there will be many chances to newcomers. I never thought I would say this, but yesterday's atmosphere at the stadium was amazing. More people are attending the home matches every 15 days, and the team is still experiencing the morale boost that the new coach gave them a while ago. Tanabe didn't play, and I don't see much room for more japs unless they show some strong character and guts to play here. I would love to see that though.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOALLLLL !!!!!!!!!!!! Tanabe scored !!!!!!!!! final whistle, RECREATIVO 1 - 2 SABADELL !!! What an amazing match!!! after the first goal of Recreativo, Sabadell never stopped attacking and trying hard. Tanabe scored a header at 84'. I'm SO happy!! ==================== The other match's result was FC Barcelona B 5-0 Hércules. Sugi played some minutes in the second half when the match was already decided (4-0).
I watched Sugita for the last 15 min of the match. He played on the left wing. He made two beautiful passes. However, he lost the ball too easily in the build-up to Barca's fifth goal. Also, he needs to work on his tracking back. PS : Barca B's 17 year old Adama Traore is going to be a top top winger. He is just too good.
Can't wait for the japanese media to publish something regarding Tanabe's performance If you just watched the final 15 minutes, you probably didn't see Adama's great performance and his goal. He is the reason why people go to the stadium He's a beast.
You are right. I watched parts of the first half then a bit in the beginning of the second half and then the last 15 min (when Sugi was playing). Adama is just a beast no doubt about that.
Well, I'm not referring to the Asahi Shimbun or any top source like that, but Sakamoto (Sabadell's president) is making sure that this year the club will solve a critical problem in the previous years: total lack of marketing efforts. I'm seeing more and more Sabadell supporters in Tokyo everyday. There is a TV station in Japan that owns the broadcasting rights, and they are considering airing Sabadell's matches... so I think we shouldn't underestimate media coverage.
Highlights: Great stuff from Sotan Tanabe, not only the goal, but also the post towards the end... great skill there.
Message from Tanabe after the match in which he scored the winner: Great to have personal messages for the fans ===== On a side note, there is a Spanish saying that states "Better late than never". So here is the shirt I bought today... took me too long but it's finally home. I love the details this shirt has on the inside, especially behind the neck. The yellow part at the bottom is also on the inside. Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler Team emblem, Japanese flag, and the sentence behind the neck that says "Together we are stronger" (in Catalan).
Today's matches: Sabadell - Ponferradina Hércules - Tenerife Tanabe's message a few minutes ago and 2,5 hours before the match: Very important to win today the coach and players said then can't wait to start playing. They look motivated, I hope those 3 points stay at home and Tanabe keeps getting minutes and opportunities さあ、行くぞ!! Good luck to Sugi too !! his team really needs a win if they don't want to be on the relegation zone again. Let's hope they can get the victory at home as well
