In it to win it. After my piss-poor draft and being beaten to Cazorla by 1 second, my survival in Small Rocks counts as another win for me.

Hmmm, if some bloodsuckers hadn't already taken the name, we could try to roll out a fantasy football tv series: "The Originals". The pilot: Draft Day, starring Hal sitting at table cluttered with post-its, spreadsheets, and drink of choice on the rocks, and 1800 hiking through the mountains before drinking wine at sunset with two eastern-Euro beauties before taking his laptop down the hallway of the b&b to make a pick while sitting on the crapper. If only we hadn't lost the name. This has real potential..... ;)

Anyone ever seen all of them in the same room together at the same time? I've still got a suspicion that DrH is at least 3 of them..... :)

Aviators will be back and starting in VSR unless someone retires from Small Rocks who wasn't relegated.

Came up 10 points short of a promotion spot. Congrats to Ryan and his In-A-Gadda-Da-Eden for finishing top of the VSR table and to Coach Wiggum's FC Springfield for holding me off and finishing second.

For the record , a few of "Bigger Boats Tentacles" have mentioned they will be back next year, and asked me to post on here.

Tough love time, so I have told them to stop being lazy and do it themselves. I have been their proxy voice on BS for 2-3 years now so they can now sort it or not play. . If this costs us some members then so be it.. :devilish:

The Boat gets nasty and lays it on the line. No more Mr Nice Guy. Is the new Boat streamlining to deal with the tougher competition in VSR...?

    The times they are a-changin'

Wish I was there to find out...

100% correct Mr Fraser. Bigger Boat HQ is streamlining affairs and it's sole focus will be winning VSR next season, not pandering to the grubby hands and needy whining of those plebs down in Dust and Sand... peasants ! :p

When is VSR Draft Day ?? ;)

ThiKu Mariners will be back.....likely under a new name!

We need to do something. Last season was a nightmare. Absolutely everything that could go wrong did, beginning from the first or second week when two of my top selections agreed to transfers for money and bench time (Sinclair and Moses) and it got worse from there.

I will absolutely be back to teach Lobo Lobo how to properly manage a fantasy team.

Hal - what a great last few weeks. Amazing I held you off with your huge score in the last gameweek - thank you Kevin Nolan!

Agree with all the "Internal Reviews", with the exception of Nellie Wanderers. Uncle Dennis may not return due to the fact he will need to fend for himself on BS etc, but he should certainly be allowed to if he chooses to. Without digging too far into stats, he was the most active in Sand besides myself , with 34 trades all season (biggest gap between trades was 6 GWs).

Although 33 of those 34 were probably crappy trades, tradecrappiness should not stop him coming back ;)

Will have to check. Was Nellie with Azipicuelto (the Incan god of stuffing heads into enemies goals) as captain all year.

If by all year, you mean between GW's 31 and 37 then yes. I think Dennis had a snooze for a few weeks and Azaalphabet was left as captain..... although having him captain for 6 weeks is equivalent of a year long captaincy of someone who actually should have been captain in the first place.

I'll speak to wewunonce to see if he intends to return. For the record, he may not have been active on the forum but he was active with his team throughout the season.

Yeah I want to check to see if there were transfers and line up changes. I haven't checked everyone. Ghost Boat Real Mos Eisley is an example of inactive. I got a good look as the Golden Boot went on.

    I guess I've been pre-confirmed, but I'll post anyway;)

I'll be back to continue my Swansea-like rise to the top of the All Rocks pyramid. I think I might refrain from changing my team name for once. Hazard is my permanent man-crush.

Season starts August 17. Any thoughts on when to start the drafts?

August 1st is a Thursday - could start then

    or August 5th the Monday.

Draft takes 1 week. Finishes by August 10th.

Transfers from end of draft to start of season.

    How does that sound?
