Quality signing imo. Just hope he doesn't cause any problems in the locker room. We still need a backup for Demps and some left back depth amongst other things.

Left back is hard to fill though or we would already have one. We do have 3 players that can play left back. Leo Remick and scott.

It might be just me but I shudder when I think of Scott or Remick playing left back for us. It is hard to find a left back on top of the salary restrictions but definitely a spot we could fill.

Leo is our starting LB and was solid last season. Is there really a reason for us to go out and get a new LB at this point? Remick should be fine as a backup LB.

Well we could have done worse. The off season has been interesting wonder how it will all shake out this is a near total team makeover.

Djimi Traore is a natural LB as well.

Roster is shaping up nicely. Still a little heavy on forwards and light midfielders. Hopefully, Kovar can step in and give some good minutes here and there. Worried about our depth at CB. After Marshall, we'll be relying on two of these guys to contribute heavily: an aging Traore, an unproven Anibaba at CB anyways, Zack Scott, and two rookies.

Not really. Some of the forwards can play in the midfield. We have 3 roster spots open (since Joseph is on the way out) with potentially 2 more could be open (bates and estrada)

I'm interested in seeing how Bowen fits in. I think he could become a great player for us.
I'd almost like to see a 4411 although not sure Bowen would fit as a RM instead of a forward RW.

That's not what it is going to be. Martins and Cooper will play up top and Dempsey will play CAM with evans at RM.

Yeah that is most likely. Just throwing something out there that is different.

The Sounders have said that was just a rumor. While that isn't on the Hanauer Transfer Rumor Advisory System, I'd give it a greenish-yellow

Drogba is old. I would rather we go find the next Fredy Montero. And if the Drogba thing is true it means someone is on their way out the door, likely Martins. No thanks....

As good as Drogba is, no thanks. Saw some of the preseason game against San Jose, and it only added more excitement for March to come. We also lost out on Benji Joya's lottery to Chicago. He would have worked in Dempsey's position.

I agree on Drogba. He's a good player, but we don't need to be the place where people come to retire like a lot of other teams seem happy with.

Wow.. I was expecting the Sounders odds (29%) to be much lower than they actually were.. I guess it makes sense because the only three clubs that entered were relatively close to each other in the standings.

what is the status of the GrownAssMan allocation money we got from DC??? i was under the impression we still had the possibility to use it to buy down Ozzie's contract to below DP level, thus allowing another DP signing...
