First half problem was Dortmund too tight and close to one another in final third. Second half, total opposite. Stretched Worlfsburg, played wider and put ball in box. Both goals came as a result.

Good that Klopp was able to recognize that.

Klopp, Reus, Lewa won it for Dortmund today...the heavily criticized Klopp should get some credit today for Turing the game in 2nd half...now Dortmund can simply play in free mind on Tuesday...

Kehl suspended for RM second leg, I suppose that means Jojic starts? Or ..... Kirch

Jojic entering the match improved BVB greatly in two matches in a row. Or maybe it's Sahin leaving the match two matches in a row... Either way I would start with Jojic.

Although too late for this at this point; with Kehl's suspension and small chance of advancement in mind, I'd catch Real off guard by playing Jojic in AM and moving Miki into DM with Sahin. I think partnership of Miki with Sahin will do a great deal of good for both of them.

Problem with Kehl/Sahin pairing is that Sahin has to stay deep to cover for Kehl because the latter is so slow and does less breaking up. Jojic entering was important as it finally gave Dortmund penetration through middle but more important was Grosskreutz in center because he is better at breaking up play and exerting energy.

I would try Sahin/Grosskreutz against Madrid.

I think Mkhitaryan will play as a defensive midfielder on Tuesday.

With his passing "accuracy" I worry this will be a huge mistake. But we dont have anything better at the moment.

His short passing in tighter spaces is sloppy more often than not, but his long passes are excellent.

I probably got the matches reversed. This would not be a shock for me these days.

It irks me that people think we will completely tank when Lewandowski leaves. Of course Zorc, Klopp and co. have to go out and earn their keep but teams like Napoli, Spurs, Atletico all lost their star men up front and didn't spiral down the table. The latter actually got better because Costa fits the system better than Falcao did.

Most of these guys are probably the same ones who thought we'd tank when we lost Sahin. Then Kagawa, Barrios, etc.......

It will be hard to advance, but I think we can find the right guys to still be very dangerous.

I think we can be even better. Any time a team starts depending on more than one player they get better. United teams from the past, the current Bayern team...even Madrid's trying to head that way. The challenge of course lies in finding the right player, hard to do as it is with a limited budget but there's also the problem of integrating them. I agree with you that it will be hard but if we can keep the right players for more than 1 year, we should become world beaters again.

    Grun definitely deserved a 6

Surprising how bad our defense was, they need to step up for mid-week.
